I've noticed a rather amusing phenomenon here at LC. It's the Cherry levels. So many people are scrambling to get up to the next level. They send out bulletins for themselves, or ask a "friend" to pimp them out instead so that they don't seem quite so egotistical and needy. Why? What happens when you reach that next level? Do you get a check from LC? Do you get back a year of your life? Do certain body parts start to grow? Face it, there is absolutely no significance to it. Once you reach that next level, then what? Do you feel special or important because you have a higher rank than other people? I think this is a wonderful example of how people transfer their feelings of inadequacy to something mundane like a social website. Insignificant events like Cherry levels take on a distorted importance and we actually begin to tie them to our own self esteem. I see the same thing with all the contests being held. I deleted one girl from my friend list because she was sending out bulletins actually criticizing people from her friends list because she was losing a contest. In her mind, this was impossible because obviously she was by far the hottest in the group. How pathetic is it when someone needs the approval from others on a website in order to feel special? Reaching physical maturity does not mean one has become an "adult". I see thousands of children on this site in grown up bodies. It's like high school all over again. It's rather sobering when you begin to see how fragile so many egos are in this world. I would ask folks to stop with all the bulletins asking for profile ratings and contest votes, but that will never ever happen. So I'll just go about my business and try to ignore them. And if you feel like deleting me from your friends list because I don't vote for you, feel free. My real friends don't need that kind of validation from me. Ta Ta.

I said I wasn't going to post any blog articles here, but since this pertains specifically to LC, I thought it would be better suited on this blog space. I have some pet peeves concerning people here on LC. I strongly suspect that my feelings are shared by others. Let me spell it out for you. 1. To all my "friends" who post a hundred bulletins a day (most of which are reposts) PLEASE try to control yourself. Most of the crap you're sending on isn't worth reading. It's either bitching and complaining, stupid grade school quizzes and polls (Am I attractive, LC marriage, Who's hot...blah blah blah) or some other mundane shit. Pretend for a moment that you AREN'T a trained monkey just sitting around pressing buttons and you'll be surprised at how nice it feels to use that brain of yours again. 2. Attention whores. You know who I'm talking about. These are the people (usually women, but not always) who post tons of pics of themselves (a minimum of 50 face pics of nearly the same shot is required of course) along with lots of shots of ass, boobs and the occasional crotch shot. They post bulletins asking you to rate their pics but the moment someone asks to see more or makes a rude comment, they go off like a stick of dynamite. Hey, if you weren't so emotionally needy and didn't want the attention and approval from others, you wouldn't be posting all those fucking pics. When you put yourself out there, you are going to get some negative response. That's life. Get used to it and STOP BITCHING about it. 3. I really really hate people who post bulletins asking you to come to their profile and give them a 10 because they need to get to the next level. First of all, tell me what is so important about Cherry levels. Are you getting paid for reaching new levels? Does making the next level make your tits bigger? It's meaningless. However, if you can't understand that and still feel the need to prove your superiority, then take some advice. If you want someone to do something for you, try giving back in return. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people asking for votes for some contest, profile ratings or whatever, but then these same people NEVER bother to say thank you or return the favor. You get what you give. 4. Have good manners gone the way of the dinosaur? Being rude to someone you don't even know just shows poor character. Yes, I know there are a lot of attention whores out there, but that doesn't give you license to abuse people or act like a jerk. If you don't like someone's pic, just ignore it. Leaving insulting comments, rating someone a "1" or other childish acts only reflects badly on YOU. For a group of ADULTS, I see an awful lot of childish behavior around here. 5. This last one is for LC members and administration alike. STOP LETTING IN UNDERAGE MEMBERS! It's bad enough that young teens are coming here in some kind of grand exodus from other sites, bad enough that LC is doing little to stem the flow, but other members encouraging this is even worse. I have seen girls as young as 13 (and who LOOKED 13) posting pics and having men in their 20's and 30's commenting about how "hot" they looked. What the fuck is wrong with you? That's a child. If the braces and the bubblegum and powerpuff girls bedspread didn't give it away, try looking at her age POSTED ON HER PROFILE! And to all the kids out there that keep joining... Please stop trying to act like a grown up. Being an adult isn't as much fun as you think it is. Enjoy being a kid. You can never get that back. Ok, so there it is.
