Thunder Vs. Jazz

Well I was hoping to write another blog about another win for the OKC Thunder, but after last nights loss that cannot be done. The worst part about the loss is that the Thunder shot better than the Jazz, but the turn overs killed my team. I would of rather had the Thunder play like the Lakers, and win off of a poor shooting from our best player.

So like I said in the beginning, there is nothing good to write for this blog. Maybe tomorrow night will be different, but we will have to waint and see.

So I leave you with this. GO BIG BLUE THUNDER UP

Thunder Vs. Suns

Well last night was another game between the OKC Thunder and the Phoenix Suns. This game was a shut out from the start. During the first 3 quarters the Thunder kept the suns from scoring 20 points in each quarter. This was really big for the Thunder, since during a game against the Bobcats where the cats were held to just 69 total points. Sefolosha had a monster night going 5 - 7 beyond the arc for 3's, and he was only 2 points away from tying his career high. Durant and Jackson led the way in rebounds, while Westbrook led the team in assits with 6. As a team the Thunder did an amazing job against the Suns with 44.7% in Field goals, 52.9% in 3 pointers, 74.1% at the line, and only caused 7 fouls. Once the 4th quarter started, none of the starters played again, and the bench was able to hold off the Suns and route them to only 69 points. It could of been 67 and make it a season low for the Thunder to allow if there was not a turn over in the last 31 seconds of the game. Regardless of if the Thunder kept the suns to 67, this was a great game.

With this win it still keeps the the Thunder 1.5 games beind the Spurs for the top slot in the West. Tomorrows game will be away at the Utah Jazz, and by the record that the Jazz hold this could be a great game. Then on V-day we have a rematch from the NBA championship game against the Heat. This will be the game that I am looking forward too. If the Thunder can get under James's skin and cause him to start missing. We should be able to pull off the win.

OKC Thunder

So tonight the OKC Thunder played the Suns in OKC. The game started off not too bad with the First coming to an end at OKC 33 and Phoenix 27. Once the second started. Things started to go back and fourth for some time till about the last 3 minutes. Where OKC was able to go into the half at 55 and the Suns at 50. Once the 3rd quarter started OKC came out with a force putting up 36 to the Suns 20. By the close of the 3rd the score was sitting at 91 to 70. The fourth quarter didn't turn out any better for the Sun, being able to score 26. As time ran down the Thunder pulled away with a 31 point lead, and finishing off the game with a total of 127 points to the Suns 96. Once everything was said and done the Thunder shot 57.5% from the field, 66.7 from behind the arch, and 72.2 at the line tonight. It was a dominate win for BIG BLUE. With Kevin Durant leading with 21 points and Sefolosha racking up a season high 18.

Lakers

Well lets start this off by giving credit where credit is due, and saything that right now Kobe is the greates player in the league.

Now on to the real parts of this quick blog.

If most people dont know the Lakers are on the outside looking in on making it to the playoffs this year. Which to me is a good thing being a Thunder fan and all. Yet things shouldn't have turned out this bad for the Lakers. All they had to do was bring in the correct coach instead of Mike, and let go of Howard. This team at one time was destined for great things, and they had those things when Phill Jackson was the coach. Now you bring in a guy that is known for not playing d-fence, and trying to run a high paced, high scoring offense. Which for these older players will not work. Even with the Lakers giving Mike a 3 year contract, at some point someone has to stand up in the front office and say enough is enough. Plus if this team does not make it to the playoffs will it be the final season for Kobe? My guess is as good as yours on that notion, but I can tell you that Howard will not be back next year.
