~~Gratitude Affirmations~~

~~Gratitude Affirmations~~ I am thankful for all the I have, for all that I don't have, and for all that I have been given here and now. Everything in my life, every thought, feeling, face, moment, and situation is a divine gift and I am wholeheartedly thankful. Knowing that the Universe is my unlimited source of supply, I walk in the way of success and prosperity. Thank you to EVERYTHING and Everyone, for all You have provided me—now and always. This day, I am content. I am grateful for all that is, and is not here now. I am thankful for this physical vehicle I call my body - I am thankful for all the work it does. I give it my loving attention, and it gives to me the gifts of this physical experience. I am thankful for the creative thoughts that rise and allow me to perceive all that is here now. I am thankful for all the help, guidance, and support that is constantly coming to me. I am thankful for the whole of the experiences in this life. I am thankful for my family, my friends, and everyone I meet in this experience…and for everyone and everything I won't meet. I am constantly in the almighty presence of the whole, and I am grateful for the life, love, energy, and power of it in my life. I see evidence of Life's goodness everywhere around me, and my heart is filled with gratitude. I am grateful to Life for this faith, this wisdom, and this experience, and I give thanks now for all the gifts that are here and coming to me. I give thanks for divine abundance that flows to me and through me to bless my world. All that is best for me is here now and coming to me in the right way and at the right time.

ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT

ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT In WWII there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England , its people and peace. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. To participate: Each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States , our troops, our citizens and for a Godly nation. If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along. It has been said that if Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer we could change the world. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Thank You, and may God Bless America

Love

1787525979.jpg May you find serenity and tranquility in a world you may not always understand. May the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with optimism and courage. Always know that there are those whose love and understanding will always be there, even when you feel most alone. May you discover enough goodness in others to believe in a world of peace May a kind word, a reassuring touch, a warm smile be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them. Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending. Teach love to those who know hate, and let that love embrace you as you go into the world. May the teaching of those you admire become part of you, so that you may call upon them. Remember, those whose lives you have touched and who have touched yours are always a part of you, even if the encounters were less than you would have wished. May you not become too concerned with material matters, but instead place immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart. Find time in each day to see the beauty and love in the world around you. Realize that each person has limitless abilities, but each of us is different in our own way. What you may feel you lack in one regard may be more than compensated for in another. What you feel you lack in the present may become one of your strengths in the future. May you see your future as one filled with promise and possibility. Learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience. May you find enough inner strength to determine your own worth by yourself, and not be dependent on an other's judgments of your accomplishments. May you always feel loved. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket 791a0eb2.gif Bulletin creation by Words to live by

Whole Brain Thinking

Whole Brain Thinking By Owen Waters Do we still have unimaginable potential just waiting to be unlocked? When you examine the functioning of the human brain, the answer is a resounding, “Yes!” The human brain includes right and left hemispheres. These operate in different contexts as they perform different functions. In most people, the left hemisphere is primarily detail-oriented, while the right is visually oriented and recognizes patterns. The right hemisphere recognizes the picture, the overview or the context, while the left brain translates that image into words. When you look at a person who seems to be someone you knew a long time ago, you recognize the pattern of that person’s face long before their name catches up. You move in for a closer look, while trying not to stare, and your left brain is thinking, “Oh, that’s um, oh…I’ll never forget, um, what’s his name.” The detail-oriented, left-brain hemisphere provides these functions: • Logic • Sequential perception • Rational analysis ª Precision • The sense of time passing at a fixed speed • The translation of visual images from the right side of the brain into words. The pattern-recognizing, right-brain hemisphere provides these functions: • Spatial awareness — the ability to imagine, and operate within, three-dimensional space • Whole picture overview — the recognition of patterns of light, sound or thought • Dealing with thoughts in their natural, symbolic form ª Artistic ability — visual imagery • Musical ability • Memory • The experience of emotions • The dream state • The reception of intuitive impressions. In education, the left side of the brain is promoted much more than the right. Much attention is paid to arithmetic and word skills, while art and music receive little, and intuitive development doesn’t get any. When you drive at a constant speed, your right brain, with its spatial awareness, monitors the road ahead for pattern changes. If you engage in a conversation while driving, using left-brain word skills, and something in the traffic pattern requires your attention, you have to switch your primary focus over to your right brain in order to deal with it. This explains why conversation stops as you attend to making a turn. The turn doesn’t require that much attention, but it does require a whole switch of brain sides, so the conversation stops for that short time. Music naturally resonates with the right side of the mind. Did you ever sing along with a Golden Oldies song, one that you hadn’t heard for years? Weren’t you amazed at how many of the lyrics you remembered? How could you possibly roll out, from memory, line after line of lyrics that you hadn’t heard in years? The answer lies in the right brain, where music is experienced and, also, memories are stored. You never had to use your left brain to laboriously remember the lyrics. When you heard the songs, they played into your right brain and were automatically stored in your right-brain memory, waiting to be recalled, sometimes decades later. Right-brain development can include artistic and musical ability, which can be used to make your immediate surroundings look and sound beautiful. To see how art skills turn on the right side of the brain, try drawing a picture of your left hand, only without looking at the paper you’re drawing on. As your right hand draws the outline of your left hand on paper, there will be a point at which your thinking flips over to the right brain. You’ll probably start the drawing in a linear style that prefers simple, straight lines, then suddenly switch to a more complex style that sees all the slight curves and details, appreciates their beauty, and starts to include them. Quality of life can be enhanced enormously with more right-brain attention. Imagine, the luxury of living in a world where communities are designed to calm your senses and inspire you with the sights, sounds and smells of a beautiful environment. Your spiritual connection is developed through the right side of the brain. Meditation provides inner peace and the development of intuition, which, in turn, provides necessary insights into your life’s path. As right-brain activity is enhanced, your normal functioning becomes more whole-brain, and both hemispheres begin to be used in balance. The two hemispheres of the brain are connected by a large band of nervous tissue called the corpus collosum. This connecting band of tissue is larger in women than in men, raising the question, “What are women known for having more of than men?” Now, there could be many light-hearted answers to this question — abilities like shopping skills, holding long conversations and being able to ask directions when lost. However, the biggest difference is women’s intuition. It’s not that men don’t have intuition, it’s just that women tend to have more of it. In order to develop our latent abilities, and our spiritual potential, we need to feel our way into a deeper experience of that feeling-oriented, right side of the brain, just as we have thought our way into developing the word-oriented left side of the brain. We need to become more accustomed to using the language of the right side of the brain. The right brain uses symbols and pictures, not words. Symbols can be visual, and they can be complete information packets — thought balls, which are whole pictures containing thoughts and feelings. To operate in the right brain means to grasp concepts without words, feeling them, knowing them, letting the left-brain logic wait until our sense of knowingness has had the chance to become more than it was before. If you are new to the art of paying attention to your intuition, then you will need a little practice before proficiency is achieved. Your initial attempts may seem like failures, but that’s only to be expected at the outset. Practice by being receptive to the “still, small voice within” of your intuition. The more you pay attention to your intuitive insights, the more you grow to realize how profoundly correct they are. Practice makes perfect, and you’ll achieve good results a lot sooner than you might expect. Just keep track of all your insights and, with a little dedicated practice, you’ll be amazed at their accuracy.
I have come to learn that happiness begins within me. I can not rely on some one else to bring me happiness. Its a choice every day to be Happy. What would you rather feel? depressed, lonely, defeated I could add so many negative feeling to the mix. I love feeling the joy, the excitement and love all around me daily. It truely makes a day magical. I know sharing happiness with some one is the ultimate goal and a sure way to find bliss. If you truely aren't happy and are expecting some one else to supply you with it. You are headed for heartache when your expectations are not met. Happiness can come in many forms.. from eating your favorite ice cream, listening to your favorite song. The list of what makes you happy is endless! Write down everything that makes you happy and do them! Once you experience this happiness you want to continue this feeling! There is nothing like it in the world!! It's your world you are creating!!! Once you are experiencing this happiness you will notice more and more great things happening to you!! Our emotions are a trigger to let us know we are not on track!! You have a choice though to feel happiness or depression? Which emotion is serving you well? If you ever notice you will find people drawing away from you when you are down. Why? because it's draining on anyone around you.. It's exhausting if people feel their only task in your life is to make you feel better!! Its the truth people want to be around the life of the party! It only takes a few simple steps to change your emotions. Do what ever it is that makes you HAPPY now.. The simple truth is you are special, you are meant to live an abundant life in every area. At this very moment someone is thinking about you that loves you and wants the best for you!! Acting out to get attention in negative ways only hurts you!! Trust me I know this to be true! We all make mistakes in this life we need to forgive ourselfs and who ever hurt us. It does take some time but it is attainable. You must want positive change to come to your life. I promise it will!!! There is a gift in forgiveness and this gift is to yourself!! Gratitude for your life and everything you have now will bring more good things to you!! At this very moment writing this I am the Happiest! why? because I am thinking of all the things that truely make me happy.. yes I could be happier but I would probably explode from all the joy I am feeling!! Try it!! Love you !!
MARK ST. JOHN, THE DEF GUITAREST THAT PLAYED WITH KISS ON THEIR ANIMALIZED ALBUM.... SORRY I'M A LITTLE LATE ALL BUT I JUST GOT THE MEMO, HE PASSED AWAY APRIL 5TH 2007 Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Mark St. John (born Mark Leslie Norton February 7, 1956 in Hollywood, California – April 5, 2007) was a guitarist best known for his short stint with the rock band KISS. St. John was featured on the album, "Animalize" recorded during mid-1984. During work for the album, St. John clashed with the other members of the band, and eventually developed arthritis (Reiter's Syndrome), which caused his hands and arms to swell. He was all but unable to perform live as a member of KISS, and only played three (one in full) shows during the "Animalize" tour, with Bruce Kulick filling in for the rest. He was officially replaced by Kulick on December 8, 1984. Gene Simmons has stated that St. John was going to be dropped from KISS anyway as he was "changing the classic solos." This was reported in the book "KISS Alive Forever." Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket St. John's only video appearance with KISS is in the video for "Heaven's On Fire". Regardless, Mark played on KISS’ most successful studio album of the unmasked period and any line-up apart from the originals.[citation needed]. Before joining KISS, St. John was a well known and respected teacher and guitarist for the SoCal cover band Front Page. Musicians from all over SoCal would follow Front Page just to see what Mark would do next. Mark also worked in a band featuring David Donato (Vocals), J.R. Saenz (Drums), Glenn Hughes (Vocals/Bass). Demos that the band had recorded with producer Andy Johns and guitarist Neil Citron, prior to Mark joining, apparently led to Donato's equally short tenure with another legendary band: Black Sabbath.Garry Sharpe-Young/Rockdetector Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket In January 1985 Mark teamed up with David Donato and Barry Brandt (Angel) to work on developing some demo ideas. By March he was playing live again, appearing at an all-star jam session at the FM Station Club. The lineup included Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge (KISS Revolution, April/May 1985). Mark also performed at "a sold-out audience at a benefit Jazz concert for Greenpeace. Some of the legendary Jazz musicians playing alongside Mark included: The Steve Hooks Band, Stu Nevitt (Shadowfax), Slyde Hyde (Tom Scott/Supertramp), Al Aarons (Count Basie) plus other special all-star guests." (KISS Force) Mark and David soon formed White Tiger, becoming the first ex-KISS guitarist to release an album (1986, pre-dating both Ace Frehley and Vinnie Vincent's efforts). They had written most of the material for the album by mid-1985 and set out to complete a line-up with which to record. The band also included Mark's younger brother, Michael, on bass, but was completed with the addition of Brian James Fox on drums. While the independent release did well on that level selling some 50,000 copies, and the band gigged around California, they didn't manage to break and split while working on demos for a second album in 1988. St. John teamed up with Jeff Scott Soto in 1988 to make a demo. Mark also did some session work performing lead guitar on "Livin' For My Lord" on Ken Tamplin's 1990 album, "Axe To Grind." Ken is an insiprational Christian rocker more famed for his involvement in the band "Shout". Tamplin has also cowritten material with Gene Simmons of KISS. Mark also worked with former Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff, even appearing in one of his videos ("Is Everyone Happy"). Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket St. John made a demo in 1990 with fellow former KISS member Peter Criss. This band, known as "The Keep," became what was essentially White Tiger, with Peter Criss replacing Brian Fox on drums, and David Donato using the alias Michael McDonald. This lineup performed live just once, on May 2, 1990 at a drum clinic at the Guitar Center music store in Lawndale, CA. When the band started shopping their demo (credited as "Peter Criss") around the response was universally negative. One cassette demo to circulate simply featured "Love For Sale," "Long Time," and "All Night Long," though they had also covered Lee Michaels' 1971 hit "Do You Know What I Mean," and had other original material such as "Between The Lines." By early 1991, the difficulty shopping the demo, and Mark's need to get on with making a living, led to friction between Peter and him, and he left the band (which eventually became "Criss"). Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket He was in a short lived band with Phil Naro called the Mark St. John Project that released a limited edition EP in 1999. He later released an all instrumental CD in 2003 called "Magic Bullet Theory." In later years, St. John did not make many public appearances. However, he was rumored to have returned to his pre-KISS gig as a guitar instructor in the SoCal area. St. John died on the morning of April 5, 2007 of a cerebral hemorrhage.
