Death
Death, it's me again,
I haven't heard from you
I know you got the message,
What else must I do?
Tried to get you to come to me,
For you, I even looked
Tried to set an appointment,
But your schedule was all booked
Of this place, I am so tired,
I'm ready to move along
I know it will hurt some people,
And I know that it is wrong
The world is quickly changing,
Or so the voices loudly say
Down this long dark road
I can't take another day
Death the voices tell me,
You aren't the only one
Some of the voices argue,
Saying, you, I should shun
Death I have an idea,
It's even better though I think
So you just sit there quietly,
And see how far I sink
The light is slowly fading,
My world is turning gray
Darkness and briars fill the places
Where children use to play
The clowns have all gone quiet,
The monsters are creeping in
The pleasures of life have all gone now,
Never to return again.
