When the sirens sound 
their braying call,
And panic grips the hearts 
Of all those there,
Heroes will rise from ordinary men,
And comfort those whose souls
rip with despair.

When the trumpet sounds
Its call to arms,
And soldiers march in ranks 
Along the paths, 
Heroes will rise from ordinary men,
And greater deeds than told
Will come to pass.

When the strife is over
and all is done,
And pieces left behind 
of battle won,
Heroes will rise from ordinary men,
And with sad hearts proud
We will rebuild again. 

Chased from the world I once shared with man
Now I must seek asylum wherever I can
Blamed for so many things I've never done
They point and say "there, he's the one".

Once like the buffalo my numbers were great
But now for some company I constantly wait
My sleep is filled with dreams of days gone by
and each morning I awake with a tear in my eye.

They call me a predator, they don't understand
I'm simply a hunter with no gun in hand
I desire no trophy to hang on my wall
But just a full belly when night starts to fall.

Envious of my dog cousins and his master's love
And howling with loneliness to the Heaven's above
Though I long for a touch or a pat on the head
By nature's decision I'll have freedom instead.

Married for life to such a beautiful mate
Until last winter when a bullet decided her fate
The pups are all grown and gone from the den
And I'm too old and stubborn to start over again.

Now I'm truly a loner the legend is true
But forever searching for a friend like you
It's so hard to express but I'll try if I can
In your own words "hey I love you man".

As your world grows and buildings get taller
My little hiding place keeps getting smaller
If you don't come to your senses sometime soon
Then who will be left to howl at the moon?

A glance from wall to wall
searching for the time
to know the hour of pain
A swollen voice calls out
in it a tone of shame
to know the hour of its pain
Ears that hear faintly
strain to capture the beating
only all that is heard is the scream
of the heart failing
A drop of water to soothe the tongue
never comes to the waiting
with sad eyes filled with tears
the tongue swells in solitude
the tears become staining
OH please OH please help me
scream the shadows of the air
as a murmur of voices sympathizes
with the shadows despair
Blue notes are heard being sung
from a distant radio bands blare
to the tune of the rushing sound
of forced pumped air

off in the distance very close by
rough words are spoken
to take the worry out of why
one voice is heard to say
bring in the family to say good -bye

Once i had a heart of stone,
For it had surley lost its home,
It could not love or wanted too,
But in my life then came you.

The stones began to fall away,
As happiness began to fill my day,
A feeling so special to,
Could this love i pray its true.

It soars above the sky so high,
Sometimes i think why i cry,
Cause theres no more sadness,
Or feeling alone for my heart,
returns to its home.

People running and screaming, from fire,
The crimson red flames soon rising higher.
Burnt cinder bricks hurling down to the ground,
And high from the sky came a wretched sound.

The sky lit up red as the creatures flew,
Black wings of demons blocked your whole view.
Horrible dragons attacking our town,
These horned flying monsters shall burn us down.

The heavens break loose and rain starts falling,
The archers prepare, no one is lolling.

The swords sparkle with silver and courage,
No one of fighting these creatures will hedge.

The positions are taken, on birds they will fly,
Arrow by sword, they will fight till they die.

 Darkness, shadows, silence,
 All concealing what is in the night.
 Look deeper, penetrate the darkness 
 And see what lurks in the heart.
 A sight beyond reality lurks there,
 A sight many fear,
 A dragon in full glory stands,
 Waiting to be heard.
 Many fight it, fearing the unknown,
 Knowing not what they do.
 The dragon does not fight, 
 Wisdom guiding its thoughts.
 Death comes to the dragon,
 Yet it lives still in the heart,
 Which will never forget
 What it felt when the dragon was there.

My love is like an ocean
It goes down so deep
My love is like a rose
Whose beauty you want to keep.

My love is like a river
That will never end
My love is like a dove
With a beautiful message to send.

My love is like a song
That goes on and on forever
My love is like a prisoner
