Idle Hands... Not Anymore
It's almost been a year since I started my little business. I won't be driving a ferrari for a while yet but I'm happy it's still moving forwards. For a while there I thought it wasn't going to go anywhere, but word of mouth is a wonderful things, (just another pleasurable act with one's mouth), and I keep getting people in and asking, "how long have you been here". It annoys me that advertising didn't work, but I'll take what I can get. I put up a website, Http://www.corneroftheattic.com.au so now we'll see if even more people find us. I had no trouble getting the Bike shop's website up high on google, so we'll see how I go with this one... Now not only do I have to keep building my own website, I've got to do the bike shops, someone's asked me to do a small one for them and they've mentioned me to someone else who wants one as well... I don't have enough time in the day lately... Oh well, it's better than doing nothing I suppose. Time to learn how to manage time appropriately.

This May Not Make Sense To Anyone
Not a moments rest is to be had until the flow has been lifted on to this simulated note pad. Not a feeling of guilt, but almost like it. Not a feeling of fear, but seems close. Not a feeling of lose, hearing the steps are closer. Not feeling sad, more of a depressed note was acquired. The importance of this world and how we can manage to live life, seems to be trialed into paths of directions that are unknown. I wish that I could be free and not have to fight. A constant battle begins and has no cease fire every morning when the sun comes up and again when it goes down. In between those momments there are certain levels to be reached. There are tangles of words, phrases, thoughts, actions and values. As scared as i may be to walk out and forget that the sun was even present. It scares me more that I cant see the things I love in the daylight. New horizons and the soldiers that stand on them have taken my gun, struck me down and forced my vision into the earth. Far Far Away
Missed putting this one down right after i had them. First one i was in outer space. No ship. No Suit. Just me flying through the void on my way somewhere. Looking at all the planets as i screamed past them. Kinda relaxing dream for a change. Then something woke me up, fell back asleep. Right after that one i dreamed i was in New Orleans. Way before the huricanes, sometime when i was in either Mississippi or Florida. I was sent there to find someone. I had a picture of a girl in a brown coat with long dark brown hair. And all i had was the picture. It wasn't Mardi Gras but there was some kind of celebration going on. People had fires going on the sidewalk every so far from each other. I kept searching for this girl but wasn't getting anywhere. Woke up. wrap your mind around these and let me know what you think.

What's New In My World!
Hey! Hey! Hey! All my Cherry friends. Sorry I haven't been around much, but things have been pretty hectic in my world. I just thought I would check in this morning and check up on some friends and fans. I am happy to say that I have lost over 100lbs in the last 8 months and I will be going tomorrow morning to get my drivers license. Yeah, about damn time considering I'm 32 years old, but I just never cared before. I have also been very busy with league stuff and running tournaments. I got me a new baby night before last. She is a teacup chihuahua daschund mix. She is 8 wks old and weighs about 16oz. I named her Zoey. I'm going to take her along with me on a little trip I am planning to take soon to meet up with some friemds in Ohio. I put her pic in my photos, so check her out. She's a cutie! College For A 30 Year Old.
Any typing errors are due to the fact that a friend from college spilled some soda on my laptop keyboard so some of the keys stick. Most people might think it's odd for someone my age to be attending college but the way I see it, with society ever changing you need to stay up to date with current education. Where I live most jobs are manual labor (Which I don't mind.) but eventualy I want to start my own computer repair business. Went on a tangent... I attend a community college in Norwich, NY. and the average age per student is around 25-28 years old. I have a few friends at college but none I truely fit in with. (sort of introverted from growing up on lockdown) Not socializing as a youth tends to make you hide yourself from the world. I was recently told by two of my closest friends that im a very loyal friend and that im willing to do almost anything to help out someone I care about and see to it that they are happy. This is true, I do pride myself in being a kind and generous and helpful friend. However, this NOT unconditional. serves 1 1/4 lb (100 g) cooked chicken, chopped 1 small onion chopped 2 cups (500 g) cauliflower, broken into florets 6 mushrooms sliced 3 Tbsp (50 ml) soya sauce 5 Tbsp (75 ml) cooking oil 1 cup (250 ml) chicken stock curry powder 1 Heat the oil in a small frying pan. 2 Place the chopped onion in the frying pan and cook until the onion becomes soft and brown. 3 Place the chicken, mushrooms, cauliflower and soya sauce into the frying pan and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4 Add curry powder, whilst stirring, until the oil is soaked up by the powder. 5 Place the cup of chicken stock into the pan and simmer till the liquid is reduced, stirring continuously. 6 Best served with brown rice or fried sliced potatoes.

Dijon mustard, apple juice, Parmesan cheese and garlic form a crispy and delicious coating on chicken breasts in this easy recipe. INGREDIENTS: * 1/2 cup dijon mustard * 1/4 cup apple juice * 2 cloves garlic, minced * 2 cups fresh soft bread crumbs * 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese * 1 Tbsp. butter, melted * 1/4 tsp. salt * 1/8 tsp. pepper * 2 tsp. dried parsley flakes * 8 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves PREPARATION: Line a 13x9" pan with foil and preheat oven to 375 degrees. In shallow pan, mix mustard, apple juice, and garlic. In other pan, mix the crumbs, cheese, parsley, melted butter, salt, pepper, and parsley flakes. Coat chicken in the mustard mixture, then roll it in the crumb mixture until thoroughly coated. Place the chicken in prepared pan and bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown and thoroughly cooked. Ginger, pineapple, and teriyaki baste sauce are the secret ingredients in this simple one dish meal recipe. INGREDIENTS: * 1 cup brown rice * 14 oz. can chicken broth * 8 oz. can pineapple tidbits, undrained * 1 green bell pepper, chopped * 1 carrot, finely chopped * 1/3 cup chopped cashews * 1/2 tsp. ground ginger * 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts * 2 Tbsp. teriyaki baste sauce PREPARATION: In greased 12x8" glass baking dish, combine rice and broth. Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven, uncover, and add pineapple tidbits with liquid, vegetables, cashews and ginger and mix well. Place chicken on rice mixture and press into rice. Brush the chicken with the teriyaki baste sauce. Bake, uncovered, for an additional 30-40 minutes until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Serves 4

This recipe was inspired by several different cookbooks. It combines some of my favorite winter fruits for a fabulous salsa. Try serving the salsa recipe with sandwiches and other meats too. INGREDIENTS: * 1/2 cup chopped peeled mango * 1 orange, peeled, seeded, and chopped * 1 pear, unpeeled, chopped * 8 oz. can pineapple tidbits, drained * 2 Tbsp. apply jelly * 1 Tbsp. minced seeded jalapeno pepper * 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro * 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley * 1/4 cup honey * 2 Tbsp. apple jelly * 1 Tbsp. lemon juice * 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts PREPARATION: Combine mango, orange, pear, pineapple, 2 Tbsp. apple jelly, jalapeno, cilantro, and parsley. Mix well and set aside. Combine honey, 2 Tbsp. apple jelly and lemon juice. Microwave on high until melted, 10-20 seconds and stir well. Brush half of glaze on chicken. You can substitute blue cheese for the feta cheese if you'd like. You could also use any strong flavored cheese, such as sharp cheddar. INGREDIENTS: * 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts * 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese * 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley * 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves * 2 Tbsp. olive oil * 2 (14 oz.) cans diced tomatoes with roasted garlic, undrained * 1/4 cup sliced black olives * 1 Tbsp. cornstarch PREPARATION: Cut a 3" slit in the thick side of each chicken breast to form a pocket, being careful to not cut completely through the flesh. Combine cheese, parsley, oregano and oil and mix gently. Spoon 1/4 of filling into each pocket. Place chicken in ungreased 2 quart baking dish. In another small bowl, mix tomatoes, olives and cornstarch and pour over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Serve with spaghetti, if you like. INGREDIENTS: * 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar * 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce * 1/2 cup sugar * 2 garlic cloves, minced * 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger root * 1/8 tsp. pepper * 3-4 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts PREPARATION: Combine all ingredients except the chicken in a shallow baking dish and stir until sugar dissolves. Add the chicken and turn to coat well. Cover the dish and chill in refrigerator for 24 hours. When ready to eat, transfer the chicken and marinade to a large heavy nonstick skillet. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, cover the skillet and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring each piece occasionally. I figured it was time for an update. LOL. Last time I wrote it was under so much happier circumstances. Joshua is growing like the boy he is. At last weigh in he was up to 9 lbs and 3 ozs. Flight safety This one isn’t really a current topic, but still this is one of those thoughts that runs through my mind often, so I’m going to write it down here. There has been a lot of talk about how we can make a flight safer, and I do think that they have made quite some progress over the last few years, but I want to know why this one is never brought up? Im Glad My Friends Are Okay
Man these last couple of days have been a rough one late saturday night the apartment complex right next to my work set fire killing several and leaving a hundred residents homeless. Including several of my friends from work I went into work the next day they couldnt even get the people out of the building. I went to work Sunday morning only to stand there and watch as the pulled body of body out of the rebel . I was so scared several of my friends lived in the aprtment complex. They had the body bags laid out right in the ally behind my work. I was filled with relief when my friends showed up. They may now be homeless but iwas releived to see that was safe. INGREDIENTS: * 1/2 cup margarine or butter * 2 cloves garlic, minced * 8 boneless chicken breast halves * 2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese * 1 cup fine dry bread crumbs * 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or 2 tablespoon dried parsley flakes * 1 teaspoon salt * 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper PREPARATION: In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter with minced garlic. The past month, I really let a lot get to me. Got me sad, made me treat a friend like crap, made my self esteem take a dive. My Health And Wellbeing Chapter 2
My options for my future health is to change my PCP, I currently have an Internal Medicine dr that has been pretty good up until this year. I see more drug company advertisements in her waiting room then ever before. I use to get in within 15 minutes of the appointment time. Now I get in within 30 minutes and I always arrive about 10 minutes early to be sure I am on time. That is probably not going to get better as this year rolls out. Who do I get for a replacement doctor? Well, I will check our insurance website for ones close by, get a list then try word of mouth. Also, check what I can for "free" report cards for Florida doctors. I am disheartened by what I am experiencing and can only imagine what others are too. The Degu Family
I love Degus they are so much fun. But Tuddle was lonely and they are by nature social animals. So we got him a buddy named William or Willy for short. Any Willy joined us around the end of August. Anyway Tuddle and he got along well and played a lot. It was great watching them in their male innocence. Anyway Sunday Tuddle was singing like he did a while ago. But his song was so pretty and seemed to be different then his other songs. See Degus like to sing when they are emotional like after they mate. So anyway My son Jarrod made mention that their were babies in the cage. We told him impossible because we were told Willy was a male. Drowning In The Cold
I sit inside with the all the curtains closed, and the lights turn on. This is an attempt to simulate the sunlight in my mind. Try so hard to be cheerful but, it doesn't ever seem to last. Unless, I am curled up with a loved one. I go outside to the things that cannot be ignored and I feel as if the cold air is ripping through my clothing.
