Happy Halloween
..Hope everyone either had, or is having a SPOOKTACULAR time.. i wanted to leave individual comments but its been one hellova busy day for me,.. into town this morning rushing about with last minute buys.. home for quick coffee, picked karen up from school, then in 3 and a half hours i cooked a nice big pumkin pie, 3 dozen witches finger cookies, 2 dozen spooky cupcakes, 2 dozen pizza snakes, and 16 hotdogs...decorated the house, got candy ready for trick-or-treaters and got my outfit on.. had loads of kids come round, till about 9.00pm..then finally satdown to unwind with a cup of chocolate AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH so...hope u enjoyin yours!!

Happy Halloween Comments for Myspace Well on Sat. we went to Whiskey Fest and OMG I thought I had died and gone to heaven!! I remebered while I was there that I have expensive taste, LMAO (the best whiskey I had was $340/bottle). It was wicked cool. They handed out free glass shots to taste all the whiskey there. I even got a JD key chain, hee hee. It was so much fun to walk around without kids and taste great whiskey and food. Then later that night needless to say we went to a local strip club. I thought I would have a kind of miserable night, seeing how I have been moving and did not get to decorate the new place or carve all my pumpkins. Well... it was nice tonight. I dallied at Shannons and his red pen tried to attack my costume. Then I ate dinner at Chevy's with friends all dressed up. We got dessert at Aroma's. This girl in a soldier costume came right up to me. I said hi. She said nothing. Then she moved to a different angle and looked at me again. Everyone was confused. Then she asked for a picture with me. She put her arm around me and held my hand... she was icy cold! I have decided it was for a Halloween costume scavanger hunt, and now we HAVE to do that next year! Anyway, I uploaded a few pictures. Enjoy!

Happiness means being with that special person. Knowing that they are there..And if it is unfortunate that you can't be together then maybe just thinking about them brings a smile to your face. Reposting this one!! Let me start off by saying I have the utmost respect for all our men and women in the miltary..they sacrifice thier lives for our freedom. They give up so much. I wanted to thank my baby DJ for fighting for freedom in Operation Desert Storm. He served 8 years in the Army. I truly respect him for doing that. Anyhow people are so quick to say that our military is there becuase they are forced or the recruiter lied to them. I have a daughter.. she adopted me and I adopted her when she was around 12 or 13 years old. It's a very strong emoional attachment. She's 22 now, getting ready to get married and plans on starting a family really soon. Her babies will be my grandbabies. She is a person that I am most proud of. She works hard, and has been working that I am aware of since she was 16 years old. Her ethic is remarkable. I don't know, if I really played any part in helping her become who she is. Twas the Night of Thanksgiving Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep. The leftovers beckoned-- the dark meat and white, but I fought the temptation with all of my might. Tossing and turning with anticipation, the thought of a snack became infatuation. So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore. I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes. I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground. I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees... happy eating to all---pass the cranberries, please I JUST WANTED TO LET ALL OF YOU KNOW TO MAKE SURE TO HAVE A "JOYOUS & FRUITFUL THANKSGIVING"AS SOME OF MY CHERRY FRIENDS & FAMILY ALREADY KNOW

Well it's almost here. I am feeling VERY homesick now, cause I used to go to my dad's for thanksgiving and my stepmom would always badger me to eat more, cause "i'm too skinny and need to gain weight." At first being here I was very bummed thinking I would be alone for the holiday, but thankfully I made some friends and going to their house to eat. It's not quite the same but better than sitting in my room alone. So I want to know what everybody else is doing ofr the holiday. What foods are everybody having? Ahhhhh, a perfect holiday for the lazy, fat ass American. Oh shut up, don't lie, you know it's not about "giving thanks". If you wanted to say thanks you'd give back to the community, the family, the church, whatever. Nope, instead, you are forced to buy food you don't really like (who honestly loves cooking a turkey for 13 hours?) to entertain "family" that you don't even speak to... and waste the food that you slaved all day to make (and everyone wonders why Americans are hated.... we're like locusts!)then you're left with an empty house to clean up the damn mess by yourself. I'm thankful. I live in a warm climate, surrounded by the people I love, and don't want for anything. But I'll be damned if I'm buying a turkey to proclaim my appreciation for all those Indians that were slaughtered, Pagans that were burned, and corrupt politicans who were exhalted!!! Ehhhh bite me.

Yes, it's the beginning of my favorite holiday. Thanksgiving! Woo hoo. Also referred to by my loving husband as the only day of the year "she likes to cook". Heh. Pumpkin pies are in the oven as we speak and soon, I'll start chopping up vegetables for the veggie tray, stuffing and turkey soup. I love to cook, I just love to cook big meals and spend all day making something wonderful. Everyday meals bore me I guess. We're having turkey, baked yams, pumpkin pie, peas & corn, turkey gravy (from scratch) and cranberry sauce. Oh and stuffing! For some reason, we decided to forgo the mashed taters this year. We'll see how that goes! So, what's your meal look like?

To start off.. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Keeva went to the doc. Her finger is just fine. They gave her a tetnis shot today instead of in Feb to help prevent anything further from happening. I told them about her throwing up and the poopies and the doc said that it's a virus that is going around and Keeva's already pretty much over it. It's like a 24 hr thing. Sucky thing is that she's getting a head cold out of it. I did a lot of cleaning. I wanted to do it yesterday but we all know when I wasn't able to. I still need to wash clothes to go to my mom's house. I wasn't able to spend the night since Keeva's apt was too far in the afternoon for my dad's liking. He wanted to be back by 2 pm.. but.. Keeva's apt wasn't til 1:50pm so that effed that shit up right? Either way we got a lot done. The living room is just about done. Just need to clean a lil bit more.. that's all. Children can sometimes say the funniest things. My daughter is still struggling to say certain things and words. Sometimes she says them correctly and other times she will make up her own words. I was talking to her last night and my mother was trying to get her to say various words and phrases. Such as "That's discusting!" and "octopus", which all came out wrong but were good attempts and damn funny. When she tried several times to say "Happy Thanksgiving", she gave up and spit out "Happy Nicegiving"! So I want to wish everyone a Happy Nicegiving today!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Guys and Gals! Here's a Thanksgiving rant for ya!! I'd be lucky if I could find a job that makes me 30,000 per year! I'd be hella thankful for that! But I guess if you're living in a large city where the minimum wages are much higher than where I am from in Bum Fuck Egypt, Nebraska, I guess it wouldn't be that much. Teachers here in the small town I am from are lucky to make barely 20,000 per year. I believe teachers should get paid a lot more, because they are actually attempting to make a difference in the future generation of the world. I am a high school graduate, 22 years of age, female, and have had a variety of jobs. I've gotten paid as low as 2 dollars and 25 cents per hour before for performing one of the most hardest jobs in the world, in my opinion...waitressing. You have to deal with the most snootiest fucking bitches in that line of work, and for that reason alone, I think they should be getting paid at least a set salary in stead of working f

And so, at 5:35 pm, Pacific Standard Time, I caught myself in my hotel room, watching the "That 70s Show" marathon on FX. It's a time of giving thanks for everything you have and... well, for whatever position you're in. I guess I should be thankful that I'm not outside in the cold, or in jail somewhere having my sexuality redefined, or at work, or... something. Instead, I'm in this hotel room, thousands of miles away from "loved" ones, having long, meaningful conversations with myself, and eating microwaved chicken and stuffing... I think everyone else should be thankful they're around family and friends. Trust me, you could be a lot worse off than you currently are.

So my mom came over and Jamie and I coocked thanksgiving dinner. Jamie talked to my father and we decided to just trash my jeepand get another car. It's gonna cost me $600 just to get it out of the lot that the police towed it to. That's not een fixing it so I'm just going to get another car. I'm looking at a Neon. They're good in the snow. We live close to the school so I've been walking the girls, but that's a pain in the ass at night because they go to an after school program so we're walking home at 6pm and it's kind of cold. Ok so...I've been thinking a lot about this elusive state of being that we call happiness. And, oddly enough, when I went to look this word up in ye ole dictionary there were no definitions present for it. Plenty of definitions for it's root word "happy", but apparantly even Mr. Webster was loath to attempt to define happiness itself. HEH...smart guy. But me...I'm not so smart apparantly. Because I'm going to take a shot at it. Happiness is, I think, a state of well being and contentment. It occurs most often when we get something we want or have longed for. SO me and Hubby are in bed few nights ago...the bed starts rocking...I said are you shaking your foot?? hubb says no.........thought you were......shaking goes on for a few minutes.....I look to see what was jumping up and down on the bed from our feet to our hips and back down again.......there wasnt anything there. It stopped moving the bed and "Bouncing" on the bed. Happy Holidays Gramma
My Gramma passed on the day after easter this year. This was her season. She loved the holidays. I have mentioned in my other blogs I have all of her ornaments to put up on my tree this year. I wrote this about her. My Gramma I only got to know Gramma for 29 years. In those 29 years I learned a lot from here and I also have a lot of great memories that some others will never have. I remember being a little girl and visiting grammas house. We would take the bus to the port authority in New York and then we would get the bonanza bus to New Milford Connecticut. I remember the goodie table. She always had all kinds of goodies to eat and a candy dish it was always full and later on in life it would be one of my jobs to go buy her candy for that candy dish. She would take me to the windmill diner where she would always order the same thing. Fried Shrimp We would have to go after 4 so that they had baked potato. When I was about 7 we moved back to Connecticut and next door to gramma.

This affords me the opportunity to finally get to play with the big boys on important issues, it lands me right by where I first lost my virginity, and puts me right on the beach in my off hours. Most importantly, it puts me near family. This will be the last Christmas I spend alone for awhile. I don't complain. I chose the life and am grateful for the opportunity to do what I do for you. On at least two occasions, I have spent Christmas Eve on a dry cot in the same room as 50 men I never met before, and one of them on a cold hard floor in a place I cannot identify for security purposes. In between, I was simply by myself. Sometimes I had a box to open that came in the mail or something. Usually its just checks in the mail. Ok now this was just too funny, yet frustrating!!! Being the holiday season and shit, I decided to "try" to build a gingerbread house with my daughter and my neice!!!! Now, bein a teacher and all you think i would have patience???? AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AH HAHAHAHAHA OMG I was so wrong!!! We got the house put all together, icing and all, when all at once, the house started to slip, candy fallin everywhere, Girls gigglin, and yet there i stand with mouth open in total disbelief!!!! We had icing in our hair, on our clothes!!!! Shit it was stuck everywhere, I was gettin pissed because the FLIPPIN HOUSE WOULD NOT STAY TOGETHER!!!!! As I went to get a towel to wipe up the mess, guess who decided to jump on the chair and start licking off the table???? MY FLIPPIN DOG!!!! Now she has icing all over her fur..... Twenty Three Years ago today, this little person came into the world. She didn't ask for what she got... but she came. She was born at University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mommy was truly shooting for a Christmas baby. Mommy was also trying desparately to have one baby before her daddy, the baby's grandpa passed on. Mom was too late, grandpa had died in August. Let me tell you, that baby brought so much joy to this mommy's world. Back then, mommy was still married to daddy.... she came home to live first with her paternal grandparents, in Moscow, Ohio. She came home on a cold, COLD, snowy winter day. What else would we expect for the child born on the winter equinox? She was so perfect... I, the mommy, laid awake at night trying to hear her breath. I was so afraid she'd stop. I tried to breast feed her, but was encouraged the wrong ways by family members who swore I was starving her to death. My mother in law, sent my husband sneaking in the bedroom one morning before I was awake

As for myself, although 2006 was a tough year for me as far as my health was concerned, it will be one of the most memorable. As some of you may know (meaning the ones that have spoken or written to me), I was diagnosed with Lymphoma in the beginning of the year, and spent the better part of it going for treatment. It was one of the most hellacious experiences I have ever had, and I pray none of you have to go through what I went through. But through it all, I had my friends, my family, and people that I met here to keep me strong and keep me focused on getting better. The best part about it is, I learned that I will NOT be starting 2007 stricken with cancer. Earlier this month, I learned the cancer has gone into full remission. I will have one more treatment in a few weeks and that will be the end of this very rough road. I count my blessings that over all,

As for me, well I will just see what the future throws at me and handle it as and when. I'm not complaining at the moment, so more of the same would be a bonus. I just wish friends wouldn't introduce me to certain games and get me hooked, stopping me working on certain things. Yeah like I need an excuse, anyone starts talking to me and thats it, I am off working on the project and talking :) One project is to use a web server to allow my psp to show some info that can be displyed via the built in browser. It may not be a full featured browser but at least it will save me going to another room to check some simple info. Yeah i'm a lazy bugger, but if it allows me to check something wuicker and easier then why not use it.

2006 flew by really fast and now 2007 has rolled right in. I must say 2006 wasn't the best year I have ever had, but at the same time, it wasn't my worst. As I sit here and ponder of the previous year, it brings many smiles and many tears. Many pains and many joys. But To sum it all up, this is what I will say. I have what many people don't have. I have awesome friends. To the friends I have here in Tap Land, each of you in some way or another are special to me. It's an awesome thought knowing that even though you may have never met someone in person, you can still call them your true friend. Thank you all for being here for me through my goofy times, my sad times and even my bitchy times. I hope that the entire year of 2007 is the best year you all ever have. You deserve it!!!!
