Online hoax ad strips home of everything 2 hours, An online ad offering everything in the house for free left one landlord with quite a shock. By the time she realized what was going on, the house had been stripped of its light fixtures, hot water heater — even the kitchen sink. Laurie Raye said she traced the damage to a fake ad on craigslist, a San Francisco-based Internet site for classifieds. "The instigator who published this ad invited the public to come in and vandalize me," Raye told Seattle television station KING. She said the rental home wasn't occupied at the time because she had recently evicted a tenant, but it had other items inside. Even the front door and a vinyl window were pilfered, Raye said. "In the ad, it said come and take what you want. Everything is free," she said. "Please help yourself to anything on the property." Well I just found out today that two people i know fairly well were killed in Iraq . these two men were stationed at NAS Whidbey Island , with EOD . I got to know them when i was in the NAVY . And i am deeply saddned by this loss . My prayers go out to their famillies . A Great Weekend
Saturday we took our daughter to the LA Zoo and we got a year pass since it only makes sense for us to have one... My daughter had a blast. She would say "Wow!!!" to almost every animal she saw, followed by "Mama!!!" and point at whatever animal we were looking at hehe. We walked the entire zoo, but some of the animals had been taken out... like the meerkats, because they where introducing a new member. Since we have a years membership, we will be able to go to member days when they zoo is less busy. That'll be fun. LA Zoo is also building a bunch of new areas between now and 2010. Observing is my thing. I love it. And I love when I get to LA Zoo that there are other college students who -some, not all- are getting into the same field(s) as me and have the passion I do. Well as soon as i got home there was a message saying my son's EEG was normal and i could start to take my son off his anti-seizure meds. That made my day so much better on so many levels. How Zane fell into the job that he did I am not sure but what I will tell you is that he has, hands down, my dream job. What a living to be paid to go all around the world and get drunk everywhere you go. He travels around the world to different countries and seeks out local establishments that have in some way impacted the drinking culture for that country. In addition to getting drunk everywhere he goes he also enjoys the different cuisines (rather strange a lot of the time) that each destination offers. You even get to enjoy watching what different parts of the world use as "hang over" cures. I would recommend this show to anyone that likes to watch a good cultural show and enjoys drinking! It is fun to see the different things that are being produced through out the world and Zane's personality makes it absolutely hilarious! We also had to make room for medical equipment that is coming home with him. I am so excited to have him coming home. The next great thing is that they are taking him off Phenobarbital. YAY! I am glad that I mentioned something and kind of put my foot down on that one. The Neuorologist agreed with us and said that it def. prohibits brain activity drastically which means that it basically shuts it down so much that the brain can not even do its healing. Good Morning, wow that was some weekend and it actually started at 3:30 for me on Friday. The event was a couple’s best ball scramble. A Great Day
As you could guess in my last blog I was very angry and passionate. I also wrote very badly, in the heat of the moment. But today was different. I had a job interview this morning, and I WOWed them. I got word this afternoon that I was hired. YEY. Being an 'older guy' I have had experience in interviewing, know business, and usually communicate very well. Except last night, of course, when I wrote with passion and poor form. I have been out of solid work for 21 months- almost 2 years. Now I must admit that smack in the middle of that was two surgeries, and recovery time, which accounted for about 7 months. Of course, as an IT (computer geek) type guy, I have had some consulting work in and around there, but not that much. I also had a 2 month job with a, let's call it, 'unique' employer, and he wasn't able to appreciate all I could do for him. But then in the larger scheme of things, it was something to do and earn some buck$ until my real job would find me, which it indeed did.

Alright, braved the Minnesota State Fair today. Nothing like a fair to make you hate people even more. People are so freakin inconsiderate of others. So as some of you might know or not know for the past year I have been going to the Cleveland Clinic to get approved for the Gastric Bypass surgery. Well today (8/31/07) that day has finally come. I was very excited about the news and my surgery will be on my 30th birthday 10/1/07. So now the countdown begins as I approach the beginning to my new life. This has been a fight from the beginning and if there is anyone out there that is either considering, going through or knows someone who is doing either. It's one hell of a fight and no matter what, when you think it is impossible just keep pushing forward. Well we have a thief in out midst here where i am working, last night i got out a box of chocolate eclairs from the cold store, left them in the fridge to defrost and while i have been down at the range today some bastard has scoffed them. To say i am pissed hardly covers it. Just when I thought shit was coming together, someone I rely on goes and lets me down! You see, me and my bass-player have been rehearsing together (drummer-less) for about 8 months or so. We have been (for a while now) looking to put together a 3-piece. Recently an old drummer friend of mine,who I played in a band with for years expressed interest in the project. A Great Day Off
I went with my 2 best female friends to a club in Pittsburgh and one of their friends met us there. So there I am with 3 super cute girls. It was hilarious watching all these guys come up and hit on them and getting shot down and then the girls turn around and buy me drinks all night and introduce me to every girl they knew or just met. I even got a couple of phone numbers. It was a needed ego boost. I haven't felt very wanted lately. At least by anyone that I am interested in. Last night I went to the Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson concert at the Sound Advice Amphitheater . It was a great show and then the rain started the pour down and it became an even better show. People where sliding down the hill getting all muddy it was awsome. If I had a pickup truck or something to change into I would have joined them in there sliding fun but I didn't want to be cleaning up mud out of my car. First the Sox kick the Rockies asses Saturday night and then the Pats flat out mauled the Redskins yesterday and to finish it all off, the Sox finished off the Rockies last night to sweep the World Series. After so many years of long-suffering for both the Sox and the Pats it is so nice to see it turn around. Great Night In Oklahoma
Another real 'rock star' night on the road for me in good ol' Muskogee, Oklahoma - first of all, you know it's bad when the hotel has you staying in a Motel 6. The Great Pumpkin Bread
The Great Pumpkin Bread 4 oz. pkg. of cream cheese 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1-1/4 cups white. sugar 2 eggs 1 cup canned pumpkin 1 3/4 cup flour 1 teaspoon soda 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts ( optional) Put softened cheese, butter and sugar in mixing bowl . Cream together well. Beat in eggs one at a time until well blended. Mix in pumpkin. In a small bowl mix combine the flour and spices and salt and soda and baking powder and nuts if you use them, and stir with a fork or whisk to blend. Pour over liquid batter and stir just till moistened. Do Not Beat !!! will make the bread TOUGH. Pour into a greased 9X5X3 inch loaf pan and bake in a 350 Âº oven for 60 to 70 minutes. Test the bread in the center to make sure the tester comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to rack to cool completely.

The best uncle I just got the call that my uncle passed away a little while ago. He's been sick for awhile and I know he is better off. He is free of his cancer and his pain. Its just hurts because he was the best. I remeber going to my grandparents to visit and as soon as he got to there house I got the best bear hugs. im watching this great documentary called "Breasty: A Documentary". It is so interesting. it tells about how women have advantage through their breasts and it brought up one good point that really hit home so far. in the documentary, the bigger girls talk about how they never want their significant other to see them naked because they feel self conscious about it. and the lights go out. great news everyone.... here is a recent update on kristin sortier. kristin sortier is doing excellent. she is still recovering from her serious accident 2 weeks ago. she still has to wear her helmet every where she goes and sometimes throws a tantrum because of it, but she is finally used to wearing it. we have a pic of her from 3 days ago at her sisters 22nd birthday party singing in a kareoke. she sung "happy birthday" to brenda hughes. Well I got some good news at work last night. One of the supervisors is leaving, her last day is March 1st. Im next in line for supervisor...Im pretty happy about it. I have the important job of office support staff and occasionally covering for the receptionist when she goes on breaks and to lunch. The receptionist does some things that really gross me out. I don't disrespect her as a person but I'm sure everyone has pet peeves about the people they work with. She eats potato chips all day and has to brush her seat off during the changing of the guards when she's ready to go on break. There have been multiple times that I have touched the desk and ended up with crumbs all over my hand. She also uses Vaseline as hand moisturizer. When I go to use the mouse or the phone these items are well lubed as a result of potato chip grease and petroleum jelly. Gross, right? Well, a new situation has risen. She has sparatically littered the mouse pad with enough crumbs to form build up inside the mouse. Well in the ongoing saga of my divorce, things were looking scary with me potentially leaving for my deployment prior to the actual court date (july11). Because i had been the one to file, I was required to be present for the hearing.Today i decided to call the county clerk and see if they could do anything and after being transfered a few times I was able to talk to the judges assistant. She listened to my predicament and then went and talked to the judge. One thing to remember about michigan is that there is a minimum waiting period of 180 days for a divorce with kids to be final. She called me back and gave me the best news that i could possibly get today, they have moved my divorce hearing up to may 2nd!!!!! so as of today i have approximately 25 days until i am free of the soon to be EX !!!! WOOOOHOOO what a great Day!

Today was Our Family Reunion and everything was so gorgeous .........I saw alot of my kin folk that I haven't seen in almost 10years.....We had our reunion at a Clubhouse that overlooked beautiful Lake Jackson....There was so much yummmy food and the main centerpiece was a HUGE sheet cake that My Aunt Joyce has a family picture airbrushed on it surrounded by spring like flowers, it was amazing to look at.......There was over 50 family memebers that came from all over and the weather was sunny and alittle windy, simply beautiful weather....I know my Mom and her sister's and brother had a wonderful time catching up with one another.....It was such a Wonerful Family Reunion........

As everyone knows, I have been working on getting the funding together for my next film.. While that funding has not yet been obtained, my Partner called this evening and tells me funding has come in for a revisit to our first film Red State Road Trip! So, in the next week or so, I will be away from the internet for a while as we get this next installment of that film completed! I GOT A PROMOTION AT WORK YAY!!!!!! IM SO EXCITED!!!!
