Memorial Day
This week I had to remove 3 kids (3,4 AND 5) from their parents because their house was absolutely filthy! I didn’t bother me to take the kids away, but what is making me sad/angry is that the state has returned the kids! You see here, they remove the kids in cases like this for 48 hours and come back and see if the parents have cleaned things up. Well they did…in a way I guess, according to our detective. I am a member of VITA(Volunteer Instructors Teaching America). I have been instructing a Viet Namese Lady for nearly 2 years. This lady came to America in 2000 and did not speak a word of english. Within 2 days of arriveing here her appartment burnt down with the cause being faulty wireing. From that shaky beginning this Lady and her family have built a successful business and all have become U.S. citizens. When Lan entered the VITA program(Nov. 2006) she tested out at a grade level of 5.7 reading ability in english. In May 2008 her grade level had improved to a grade level of 9.6. Also during the month of May Lan and I reviewed for her U.S. citizenship test. On June 3 Lan took the test and aced the test. She was sworn in as a U.S. citizen on June 5,2008.

chaos driven December brought me many concerns. January saw things settle some. February has exhausted me and it is not even over yet! Of course, the road trip is mostly likely to blame for that! Until Tuesday the 10th we were unsure if my daughter would be going to Oklahoma for school or not. It required her to be physically able and she had not been released from doctor's care until then. With the release (all but to drive...not yet) came the wake of chaos as I refused to plan for much of anything until knowing for sure. On the same day was the funeral of a loved one. I assisted with hosting the dinner following the funeral before going into work and still had made only a minimal of arrangements. Plans were to leave Sunday and return Tuesday. Thanks to the kindness of fellow employees shift switches were made and we were off and running finishing packing Saturday night and on the road Sunday. Weight Issues
I weighed myself last night and this morning, and it turns out that I'm now down to 165 and a half. I must have lost maybe 10 pounds or more I don't know. But somehow I made it to where I can handle everything now. I wonder if I can fit into some jeans that I have never been able to fit before in years? Holidays
I will be off fubar for a while. I will only be on to get rid of my 11's and won't have time to talk or do much more than drop my 11's. I am in the proses of moving and had my internet shut down. I have 7 slipped disks in my neck pressing against my brain stem. It makes my right arm numb 24/7 and I deal with pain daily. I hate being fat, I hate being unemployed, I hate being poor, I hate being broke, I hate being lonely, I hate having to rely on my parents. When I look in the mirror after I get out of the show I am disgusted by the fat woman I see. Ok, I am now working on leveling to 25. As I figured, the further up you move, the harder it is to move up. I'm not whining, or crying about it by all means. Grease and flour 12-cup bundt cake pan, or tube pan, 10x4 inches. Beat all ingredients except Creamy Glaze (below) in large bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 3 minutes. Pour into pan. Bake until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 60-70 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan. Day 1
A few weeks ago, while i was at work i had gotten some serious abdominal pains....strong enough to put a big boy like myself to his knees...After spending a few hours in the ER and seeing my family Doctor the following day, it turns out i have Gall Bladder Stones. So for the past few weeks i have been (trying) to watch what i eat, so it doesn't set off another round of pain..(pain usually lasts for 4-5 hours) Anyways I found out today that on Jan. 15th (or unless there is a cancellation) I'll go in for day surgery to have my gall bladder removed....A simple proceedure, in and out in a day, but i'll be off work for 2 weeks on account of being a diabetic...Aparently it takes diabetics a lil longer to heal.. My cat of over 19 years, died yesterday Aug. 20th of old age. She passed away sometime in the morning between 1:00am and 8:00am while I was sleeping. Well, I thought that I would place this hear since everyone got irritated with me for creating a mumm for this. It's actually pretty funny that people are irritated with my "Bouncer MUMM." Ive talked to a few people lately, and of course everybody is asking, how I am. It's amazing what you see when you miss it so much. Today was the first full day I've been without my family. My reception to things has been difficult. I hear children when no children are near. Everything I see everything I do reminds me of my kids. Not knowing how they are or what they are being told is driving me to the brink. I had to go to the store today and get some essentials and everywhere I turned there were families. I never noticed them before when I was with mine. I feel like a stranger. An outsider.
