I'll try to keep this short.
Basically, I took on a role as a workforce union representative last year.
Unfortunately my boss took his own role more seriously and we started having issues with me going to meetings and other such events.
To keep things civil in our office that we share with another I've just backed down (personality trait, unfortunate or not), but I'm starting to think it's worth dropping my role as I don't think I'll be able to sufficiently support my members.
