I live in a duplex... been having issues with this place since I moved in here 4 years ago.
Everything from the door bell not shutting off for almost a month to the dryer not shutting off.
Let me not forget the outrageous power bill (baseboard heat) and that the windows in the bedroom have the weather stripping hanging off of them making it impossible to completely close the window. When the window is 'closed' there is still enough air flow to blow the curtains when it gets windy and to frosty up the window with a layer of frost on a chilly winter morning (I'm Canada... -40c/-40F is normal lol)
Now in the last month the front door has been freezing shut. My son and I literally having to place our foot on the wall to brace and pull open the door. A few times that hasn't worked and had to call neighbours to help us out of our house. I called the land lord today about it again... he said it is 'NORMAL" and says that there is nothing he can do.
I sense BS... but I am not a carpenter or handyman.. any suggestions?
PS.. I Have been trying to move for a LONG time.. that is my first choice if anyone suggests it :P |
