Intelligent, gay guy with psoriasis. A professional gourmand after over 20 years in various aspects of the food business. Read: Great cook. Food is my professional passion. At home though, I tend to not prepare what I'm capable of because I'd much rather cook for others than myself. Used to be a sci fi fan, but it's been a few years since I've done any escapist/fantasy reading. My usual cocktail preference is the ubiquitous Screwdriver. My favorite eau de vie is red wine when my pockets are ample.

Music
How does one make a list of music that one has spent a lifetime investigating? As a kid, my family listened to 70's era Christian guitar music and earthy southern gospel and blues. Also having grown up in New Orleans, traditional Jazz was often heard and enjoyed on street corners. In high school during the 80's, I discovered not only classical (due to a mandatory music class), but also gospel/soul and blue's very successful child, Rock. The education and the varied background in music lets me listen and enjoy just about everything. As long as it's well done and I'm in the mood. I've been known to go from Chopin to Muddy Water's, from Spike Jones (the guy who invented monochromatic cowbells in the 30's) to Led Zepplin, from Incubus to Gregorian Chant. For the most part I genraly like indie or just good alternative, but I always see the roots of the music.
