Grandparents and Parents Check this out! Grandparents and Parents check this out. If you are poor dont have any kids because then department of human services will take them because they will have you evaluated and put on drugs saying that you are bi polar or retarded so that they have a diagnosis claiming that there is something wrong with you so that they can take your children. It gives them a clear conscience about taking your children from you. You are the one that had them but yet they think they are God and have say about your children. If you are an abused woman please dont call the police department because then department of human services gets to come in and take your children. My daughter was doing great raising her son and her husband abused her the police department was called and so was the department of human services. My daughter got her own apartment again after getting told that she had to move out of her parents' home but because her parents were helping her pay the rent that was not good enough for department of human services. Several times I offered my daughter money so that maybe her and her son could go to a movie or do something she started crying saying please dont do this because the welfare will find out and my son will be gone again. And low and behold less than a month later my grandson was put into a foster home. Well anyway his other grandparents' home and then from there he was put into a foster home after his other grandmother past away. He was placed in a foster home then they tell my daughter that because they messed up my daugther gets her parental rights taken away. So now they have my daughter on medication because she is supposed to be bi polar. I really believe that the department of human services should be rechecked out by the law or the government or somebody to see why they have so much power over these children. I was always told that department of human services was to keep families together. Out of 15 people that I know that have lost their children has also made the parents get a divorce and they were promised their children back if they got their divorce. So what is this world coming to? Maybe these people that are losing their children should have the rights to have these welfare people have their children removed from them and not know where they are at and then they can feel like other mothers wondering if their children are crying in the night because of a nightmare or a storm coming on and wondering if their babies are alright. Or if someone is up in the night with them because their child is running a fever or has a sore throat or an ear ache or just wake up wanting their mommy to hold them. Do they have to worry if their child wakes up in the night because of something wrong no they are there and know that their child is ok unlike all the mothers that dont know what is going on with their children because they were removed and have to wonder if their children are ok. And if you think that a lawyer that is appointed for you will help you that is a joke becuase all they do is kiss the dhs's butts and do what the dhs wants. I have yet to see a lawyer that is court appointed step up and help anyone out. They are being paid by the state so dhs and the courts own them. So dont expect them to help you out at all they will backstab you the first chance they get just to help out the dhs.And of course the judge is no help because I believe they are also in on it to remove your children. I think that they are just like the dhs office just wanting these kids taken away. When a judge can come down of their bench just to reschedule the court date to fit someone else's schedule and the judge doesnt listen to the parents. My husband works at Quaker Oats and I own my own business and we are told that we cannot have him to raise so that he may stay in the family. Instead they want to give him to family members on his dad's side that he doesnt even know that live in another state that have never dealt with a special needs child and they have their first baby due around that time too. So if you trust the dhs office then you are doing better than anyone else is. And both my husband and I know how to deal with special needs children because we are raising three other special needs children. My grandson said that if he couldnt go back to his mom that he wanted to live with me and his grandpa. With his grandpa whom he calls "PAL." Him and his "PAL" have a very special tight bond. He knows that at my house he will get the same love and attention that he would with his mother and he also knows that she would still get to be in his life if he was with us and that is why I think that dhs wont let us have him. But he keeps asking us to move back to where we all lived together before he was taken from his mom and that we may all be happy and dhs will be out of his life. All he says is that he just wants to come home to his mom or us. Took my grandson to the playstation for a visit that we had with him and he looked up at his grandfather and said "Grandpa take me home please" This is very heartbreaking for my entire family. My eight year old grandson has nightmares that his cousin is going to commit suicide because of what the dhs has done. I am afraid that within the next few months that I will be reading about his death in the paper. We all need to come together to fix this injustice before that happens. Not just for my grandson but for all children. If we can come together maybe we might have a fighting chance on saving our children and grandchildren. Not even the congress or the representative will help because it is not their children or grandchildren that are on the line.

FOR GRANDPARENTS Current mood: disgusted I think that the department of human services is getting away with too much. I think that us grandparents need to put a stop to this about department of human services taking away our grandchildren and adopting them out just to fill their pocket books. If you figure that a child is worth $1000 a month out of our taxpayers money even after they are adopted out then so be it but I as a taxpayer dont believe that it should be done because my husband and I both work and I know that we can take care of our grandchild and dont believe that we should be supporting them elsewhere from our taxpayers money when grandparents should have rights to be able to keep the child in the home with the family rather than adopting them out to strangers. They are so willing to pay these people $1000 a month or so because we have to pay for their clothing bills even after they are adopted and when grandparents can do it out of their own pockets and actually give them the love that they deserve rather than being someone’s paycheck why not let them be with the grandparents. And isnt it funny how some grandparents are allowed to have their children and grandchildren live with them yet when I tried to help my daughter keep her son she was informed that she had to move out of my home and do it on her own. And how funny is it that even helping my daughter with paying her rent she still lost her son and got told she had to do it on her own and now my grandson is in a foster home and up for adoption. And why is it that they are allowed to give my grandson false hope that he will get to come home to his mom and now she has to tell her son that he has to be put up for adoption? Yet 2 dhs workers, a judge and a guardian ad litem(child’s attorney) say he needs to be put up for adoption but yet 2 men workers say he should be returned back to his mother because they have said that they have never seen a bond between a child and his mother like my daughter and her son are and instead they get rid of the men workers and put women on the case so that everything goes their way. Just like my brother had to move out of state just to keep his children and grandchildren from being taken by the department of human services but yet the state he moves to says that they dont need to take his kids away as a matter of fact they say that he is doing a great job at raising his children and grandchildren. I think it is wrong that they took our grandparents rights away I think it is just a cover up so that they could take away our grandchildren and then our grandchildren will probably be in trouble with the law, in prison,dead or sexually abused or even physically abused because even though they are in foster homes and being adopted out doesnt mean that they will get the love and attention that they would if they were with their parents and grandparents. Oh everybody says that they will love these children better than a parent or grandparent would but my sister in law was in a foster home and she was badly physically,verbally(mentally) abused by the foster parents. And my brother in law was sexually abused. Oh I know they say that they have checked out the foster parents from top to bottom and front to back but unless they are their blood children nobody really cares, it is just the dollar bill that marks the spot and meanwhile the children get lost in the cracks. Thank you very much...I think everyone should get together and give off dates that they have to go to court so that way we all can line up together and fight for our grandchildren. can you believe that department of human services would be willing to keep a child from his mother claiming it is best for the child yet not caring that the child is getting worse because of it. only in iowa would department of human services get away with this crap. The television stations claim that they have it rough doing this to families and that they should be commended for this yet they dont talk to any of the families that have to go through this just to find out the facts of it but instead they just go off of what the department of human services has to say about it.
