Good morning everyone out there I hope you are all starting your days in a positive mind frame and are spending sometime today to appreciate all that you have and enjoying the feelings of how abundant our lives are . We all spend to much time focusing on what we dont want in our lives instead of appreciating what we do have ,it is easy to get caught up in all that we dont have and or what we need and forget what we have been blessed with in out lives and because of this we all walk around in a state of stress or disapointment in our lives and ourselves instead of feeling the joy of all the things we should be thankful for and when we do this we make the focus of our lives and everyday on something we dont want more of. Today stop and look at all the great things we do have in our lives give thanks the for good water,10 fingers ,10 toes,the abiltiy to see,hear,touch ,you families health, the food we have to eat ,the air we have to breath and truly start to feel the abundence that your life has in it and feel it in your heart and soul 100% and when you start everyday like this appreciating all you have you are sending out the thoughts of what we want more of in our lives and make ourselves in line with what we want to attract more of so lets all give thanks and start this day off thinking about the inner wealth we already are living with in our lives and feel the joy and abundence of all we have been so blessed to have in our lives and start our day off feeling great about ourselves and our lives the way they are right now remember we attract what we think and feel in our minds and we focus on so take I minute and think about what you are spending all your time focusing on right now , is it a feeling of pleasure and bliss or are you focusing on what you dont want it is all in how you project and what you are inviting more of into your lives by the thoughts and feelings you have on your mind everyday so lets all focus on the abundence we have and the feeling of how lucky we are and attract more of that great feeling into our lives so we are in tune with what we desire are life to be . Well I know all the things I am greatful for in my life thank you and a am the luckiest man in the world and part of that is you all for being in my life so thank you all and feel the joy in your soul and go out and get some more. NEW GAS WAR - a new idea that WILL work Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by the end of this summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea. This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work. Please read on and join with us! By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $0.39 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently $1.249 for regular! unleaded in my town on Vancouver Island. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a liter of gas is CHEAP at $0.39 - $0.69, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace..... not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war. Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL (Esso and Shell in Canada). If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people. I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us sends it to just ten more (30 x 10 = 300) . and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those three million get excited and pass this on to tenfriends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all. (If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician. But I am, so trust me on this one.) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you? Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from them UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $0.35 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK

A Cherokee Story Now, when Earth was brand new, there was much confusion, for there was darkness everywhere. All of Earth's Peoples kept bumping into each other, and were often hurt. They all cried out for light, that they might see. Fox said that he knew of some people on the other side of the world who had plenty light. He said that it was nice and warm, but those people were too greedy to share it with anyone else. Possum said that he would steal Sun. "I have a beautiful, bushy tail," he said. "I can hide the Sun in all of that fur. Let me try." So Possum went to the other side of the world and found the Sun. It was hanging up in a Tree and lighting up everything. Possum took a piece of the Sun and hid it in the fur of his tail. But Sun was so hot that it burned all of Possum's tail hairs off. To this day, Possum has a bare tail. The people discovered Possum and took the piece of the Sun back. Buzzard said, "I will take the Sun myself. I will put it on my head, so that I can see where I am going with it." So he tried to take the Sun too. He flew to the other side of the world, and dived down to snare the Sun in his claws. But it was so hot that it burned all of Buzzard's feathers off of his head. To this day, Buzzard's head is bald and ugly. The people discovered Buzzard, and took the Sun back. Then Grandmother Spider said, "Let me try." First, she made a very thick clay pot, big enough to put the Sun in. Then, she spun a web which reached all the way to the other side of the world. She was so small and quiet that these people did not notice her at all. When she was ready, she quickly snatched up the Sun in her big clay pot, and hurried back home along her web. Now her side of the world had light, and warmth. Everyone rejoiced at Grandmother Spider's gift. Spider Woman brought the Sun to the Principal People, the Cherokee, but also the gift of fire. She also taught them to make pottery.

Raweno, the Everything-Maker, was busy creating various animals. He was working on Rabbit, mad Rabbit was saying: "I want nice long legs and long ears like a dear, and sharp fangs and claws like a panther." "I do them up the way they want to be; I give them what they ask for," said Raweno. He was working on Rabbits hind legs , making them long the way Rabbits had ordered. Owl, still unformed, was sitingon a tree nearby and waiting his turn. He was saying: "Whoo, whoo, I want a nice long neck like swan's, and beautiful red feathers like Cardinal's, and nice long beak like Egret's, and nice crown of plumes like Heron's. I want you to make me in to the most beautiful, the fastest, the most wonderful of all the birds." Raweno said: "be quite. Turn around and look the other direction. Even beter close your eyes. Don't you know that no one is allowed to watch me work?" Raweno was just then making Rabbit's ears every long, the way Rabbit wanted them. Owl refused to do what Rawenosaid. "Whoo, whooo," he said replied, "nobody can forbid me to watch, Nobody can order me to close my eyes. I like watching you, and watch i will." Then Raweno became angry, He grabbed Owl, pulling him down from his branch, stuffing his head deep into his body, shaking him until his eyes grew big with fright, pulling at his ears until they were sticking up at both sides of his head. "There," said raweno, "that'll teach you. Now you won't be able to cran your neck to watch things you shouldn't watch. Now you have big ears to listen when some one tells you what not to do. Now you have big eyes--but not so big that you watch me, becouse you'll be awake only at night, and i work by day. And your feathers won't be red like cardinal's, but gray like this" and Raweno rubbed Owl all over with mud---"as punishment for your disobedience." So owl flew off. pouting: 'Whoo, whoo, whoo." Then Raweno turned back to finish Rabbit, but Rabbit had been so terrified by Raweno's anger, even thought it was not at him, that he run off half done. As a consequence. only rabbit's hind legs are long, and he has to hop about instead of walking and running. Also, because he took then, rabbit has remained a fried of most everything, and he never got the claws and fangs he asked for in order to defend himself. Had he not run away then, Rabbit would have been an altogether different animal. As for owl, he remained as Raweno had shaped him in anger--with big eyes, a short neck, and ears sticking up on the sides of his head. On top of everything, he has to sleep during the day and come out only at night. Retold from various nineteenth-century sources.

Long ago, the Crows were all as white as snow. The Indian People were still on foot, because Horses had not been brought to them yet. They did not have guns or weapons that were made of iron. They only had bows and arrows, and spears with flint tips. They used these weapons to hunt Buffalo, and it was a very tricky and dangerous hunt. This was made especially hard by Crow. You see, Crow was a friend of Buffalo. He would warn Buffalo every time that our People were hunting for Buffalo. Crow would fly high in the Sky, where he could see everything that was going on. When he saw our People on our way to hunt Buffalo, he would rush down to Buffalo and light between his horns. Then, he would yell "Caw, Caw, Caw", Cousins, hunters are coming. They are creeping up through that gully there. Save yourselves, watch out, "Caw, Caw, Caw". Hearing this warning, Buffalo would run. The People would be left in a cloud of dust, and they would starve. This greatly angered our People. There was much talk, and they decided to hold a council. Among the Crows, there was a great big Crow, twice the size as all of the others. He was their leader, and was the biggest friend to the Buffalo. So one wise old chief said that we must catch this Crow. He said, we must catch him and teach him a lesson. It is either that or go hungry. He brought out a large Buffalo hide, with the head and horns still on it. He put this hide on the back of a strong young warrior and said, Nephew, sneak out among the Buffalo. They will think that you are one of them. When the Crow comes, you can capture the big white Crow. So the warrior did this. He went among the Buffalo and pretended to graze for grass, along with the rest of the herd. They did not pay him any attention. The rest of his People then got their bows and spears ready and headed toward the Buffalo herd. When they approached the herd, the Crows came as usual, calling out to the herd, "Caw, Caw, Caw". "Danger". The hunters are coming. Save yourselves. Caw, Caw, Caw". The herd all ran, and left a great cloud of dust behind. But the warrior still pretended to graze. Then, the big White Crow lit on his head and yelled, "Caw, Caw, Caw. Brother, are you deaf, save yourself. But as he did this, the young warrior caught Crow by his legs and tied them together and to a large stone. No matter how hard Crow tried to escape, he could not. Again the People sat in council. They smoked the pipe and talked. They said, What shall we do with this big, Crow, who has made us go hungry again and again. I will burn him up, answered one angry hunter, and before anyone could stop him, he yanked the Crow from the hands of his captor and hurled him into the council fire, bird, string, and stone. He said, "This will teach you". But the string burned in two almost at once, and Crow escaped from the fire. But he was badly singed, and some of his feathers were charred. He was still big, but he was no longer white. "Caw, Caw, Caw", he cried as he flew away as fast as he could fly. I will never do it again. I will stop warning the Buffalo, and so will all of the Crow nation, "Caw, Caw, Caw". And so the Crow escaped. He still warns others of coming danger, but he leaves Buffalo alone. And ever since that day, Crow has been black.

Great Spirit, I pray to you. Lift my spirit. Raise me to the heights, High enough that I may Look down on the great mountain. Let me look down into the Reflections of the sacred lake. Let my spirit be gathered by the four winds. Let the four winds teach to me. May the white in me learn compassion. May the red in me learn truth. May the yellow in me learn wisdom.
