Ok...So, as some of you know and for those that don't....I worked at HEB...I say worked because I quit that damn place....I had the job as soon as I handed in an application (inside source) I went through the phone interview, the in-person interveiw, gave Scott & White my pee (drug screen) went through 4 hrs or training, got my health card and then was thrown into the deli and was told how to do a few things...no instructions as to where things were kept or anything on procedures....so, I had to ask lots of questions and got on everyones nerves (If I had been trained properly, that would not have happened) After the 1st week, I'm starting to figure things out and by week 2, I had everthing under control....was garuntied (sp?) 34-40 hrs a week @ $8.25/hr...I was so happy and enjoyed working...the money was good and so where the hours....what happened? Here's what happened....I know this girl...she is my bartender at a local bar and a good friend of mine. She worked at HEB for 3 yrs. There was a manager change and the new manager hated my friend...she said and did a lot of things to her that made my friend mad...in otherwords, she cut her hours, stuck her with people she couldn't work with and made her do things she wasn't supposed to do.. Everyone said that she was jealous of my friend..After trying to deal with it for 6 months, she walked out. Well, somehow, the manager found out that we were good friends and after being there for only 2 months, she started to do the same with me...first she started cutting my hours, for 4 weeks I was getting 38-40 hours...that 5th week I got 24....the 6th and 7th week I got 16hrs and then the 8th week (my last week) I got 8 hours....Now tell me something...how is one supposed to live off of $18 a week???????? Why didn't I stay there and just look for another job? Because I've got other things in my life to do...The boyfriend quit his job to go out on his own and he needs me to help him. His reason for quiting is different...that will be a blog on his site soon...let's put it this way, he is making way more on his own, like more than triple in less than a week!!!! Well, thats about it on the blogging thingy.....until next time, ya'll have fun...

My home state is TN...I love it there, all except for all the humidity in late summer and the year round possibility of a tornado....I've learned that a person can be safer strapped to a tree in the middle of a tornado rather than be in a trailor...of course I didn't know the severity of them until I was 18 and out of my grandparents safe brick home...The weather is the ONLY thing that I DON'T miss from TN...I miss everything else, some more than others, like my family, my kids, my friends, including the ones in Hickman county that I haven't seen in like 5 years....I still wonder if my friend Teresa is STILL gossiping about her on again- off again, 15 some year affair with a guy named Eddie...I wonder how much Bon Aqua has grown, if any.....I miss the sound of a whip-o-whil in the middle of the night...Mainly, I miss the country life I used to live. Ya know...horses, chickens being raised as pets in the house, being able to walk off into the woods and being lost for hours, but yet knowing exactly where you are once you realize you were to caught up in exploring and find yourself 5 miles from home and you on foot and it will be dark in less than 30 min and you never once thought about bringing a flashlight when you left!!! And in a way, I kinda miss all the gossiping; weither it was about someone else or about me...Am I straing to miss things like this? Here's the thing...Back in March 2006, me and my BF moved to TX...Been through the state a few times and liked it a lot...When I was asked to move here, I was very excited...Well, i loved it here...mainly the weather...Since I've been here, I've lost a dog, been in jail, forced to go to court, had 4 different jobs that I didn't like or didn't get paid, and just about lost a car...Things were great the 1st few months, then in July, everything started going wrong...needless to say, all this bad luck and this homesickness is forcing me to go back home...hopefully I can make it just a few more months until income tax returns...Tennesse springs are the best!!!! OH...If anyone knows of any rental property in Hickman or Maury Counties comming up in late Feb. or in March, please let me know...It will make my highly anticipated trip home much more easy............MISSING TN, NIKKICHICK1979
