It is a lazy Sunday afternoon. It rained so we can't get into the field to harvest soybeans or corn so I'm inside wasting time. Anyway, with all this election talk going on it made me think of Gov. Palin's children. That raises the question about if it is good for children to be raised by someone other than their parents. I am specifically talking about wealthy people who have nannies. By nanny, I mean the professional child care giver who resides int he same home as the children. It amazes me when you hear about a star that adopts children because in reality it is the nanny who is raising the children not the parent. When I use the term, "raising a child", I mean the adult that spends the majority of the child's awake hours of the day spending time with the child. You know the person the child sees the most. I'm talking in the case where the parents have the capablity of being good parents and the nanny has the capability of beeing a good care giver. I am not talking about abusive (bad) situations.
So the question is:
Who raises a child better their parents or a nanny?
