So Ive decided to go home for thanksgiving.  well, not home really but to Portland to see family. I wasn't going to because my family is too crazy when theyre all together, but it beats sitting at home watching Lonesome Dove. Doubt my families craziness?  Every year they think this is a good idea. And every year it ends with everyone getting drunk, and at least two people fighting. My favorite was a few years ago when my cousin called her alcoholic mom a bitch and a cunt, and they decided at 2 in the morning to take the kids and drive, presumably blackout drunk, from northern WA to Portland, OR.  We all turn into kids when we're together. the cousins all act like we're teenagers, and cause trouble. and my mom and her sisters rehash fights from thirty years ago, til theyre all crying.  The dads just quietly drink and talk about how much the rest of us suck.  Here's to another fun thanksgiving

On the plus side, I'm going back to my hometown for a night.  the night before thanksgiving, everyone from my class who's home for the holidays gets together at the bars on first street. I've never looked forward to this.  Really after high school I just kind of disappeared and never looked back. But I'm feeling sentimental, and it would be nice to see what some people have been up to for the last 9 years.  apparently everyone I used to know always goes, and they always ask about me, but I never go. When they ask, I'll probably just lie and say I became a doctor. and hilarity ensues.

1. I have like 4000 comic books hidden behind the clothes in my closet.

2. I complain about reality TV and how much it sucks, but i secretly watch Tool Academy, and still tell everyone else they suck for loving it.

3. I am pretty outgoing, but I often feel like I'm faking it.

4. I used to box, but quit because I don't like hitting people. now I bounce on the weekends at a club. go figure.

5. When I wash the dishes I have to rinse them twice in hot water, and once in cold.  I dont think I'm OCD, I just had a mother who was really bad at washing dishes. So I'd rewash them before using them. 

6. I have metal shows in my garage twice a month, despite not really liking metal music all that much.

7. When I'm bored I write Tv pilots that I'll never do anything with.

8. I often wish i could have a real life theme song that would follow me around. Most of the time the song in my head is "If you want me to stay" by Sly and the family Stone.

9. I'm the worlds biggest Chris Isaak fan and none of my friends understand it.

10. The one time I tried mushrooms, I ended up in the back of a truck talking to people who werent there, and I couldnt figure out who I was. Worst experience I can remember.  As an artist I have enough crazy stuff in my head. Don't need it coming to life.

I'm not gonna tag anyone because this shit is hard and I don't know if you like doing this sort of thing. How about if you think you can do this without having to double think yourself you go right on ahead and try.

So I've decided to start contributing to the fubar Blogging. I've been on here for a while now and never tried it.  This is my first one, and right now all that's on my mind is how much I love a show from the late eighties and early ninetees. 

Does anyone else love Quantum Leap as much as I do?  I have netflix, and I remembered loving it as a kid so i started watching it again from the begining.  I'm hooked. It's cheesy at times but I think that's part of it's charm.  Plus Scott Bakula in drag is hilarious.
