The darkest days, the coldest nights. You learn to hate, you learn to cry, you maybe even wish to die. You tell the one who should love you the most, they beat you down and call you names, and say that you're the one to blame. Growing up was never fun, it only made you want to run. You hide your face, you hide your shame, wondering if you really were the one to blame. The scars that are left, though can't be seen can make you hateful & mean. A beaten down woman submissive to all, always the one that is willing to crawl. Through it all I know you couldn't see that God was with you as he was with me. He gave you strength when you wished you were dead, he kept you from putting that gun to your head. Your purpose for living, you couldn't see, all you wanted was just to be free. One cold winters night God gave you a gift to help make it all right. Now your a mother, with the chance to show how deep the love of mother is suppose to go. To stand up and fight every adversary and foe. Your making a difference though the progress is slow, one day he'll realize , one day he'll know you never gave up, you continued to fight with everything you have, with all of your might. -------------------------------------------------- PRAY TO WHO OR WHAT EVER YOU BELIEVE IN......COURT IS MONDAY THE 3RD OF MARCH......SHOULD THE MAN WHO ABUSE YOU AS A CHILD, AND FATHERED THIS CHILD HAVE RIGHTS AS A PARENT.....OUR COURT SYSTEM SAYS SO....WE ARE FIGHTING WITH ALL OF OUR MIGHT TO KEEP HIM AWAY FROM THIS CHILD. UPDATE.....THE SYSTEM IS F*CK*D UP!!! The abuser brought his cousin to court (claiming to be his sister) and she has filed for custody of my nephew......As of now there is no return court date..it could be months. And the DHR(dept. of human services) social worker didn't think it was NECESSARY for my nephew to have counciling...I had to request that she get him someone to help him understand what is going on in his life, at 6yrs old. **NEW COURT DATE SET FOR AUG. 5TH** Until then, my nephew has to stay in foster care, in "protective custody" ...the foster mother, does not allow us to talk to my nephew, she doesn't answer our messages, Sometimes, it is a week or more before we get to hear his voice. We tried to have his foster home changed so that he would be closer to where we (my sister) lives...but the court ruled against the change. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

MY CHILD It's bound to happen one day, their going to take me away.....A wise and aged woman once told me, " whip him now, or he will whip you later." She read it in the cards, and so it began. I spanked him at 3 when he threw a pencil at me,(pants down in the middle of K-mart). He was basically a good boy, an occasional flip flop on the butt, would keep him in line. This past year at age 11 he got his first taste of the leather belt. He brought it on himself, he chose to tell the lie. Nine lies, nine stripes, and we would do it all again to save my son from a life of crime , rebellion, or sin. It's not over yet, my job as a parent has really just begun. He is at the age now (12) when young people think they are ready to take on the world, they want to grab it and run. If he crosses the line and I have to redirect his thinking, redirect his mind, you can bet your last dollar that I'm going to whip his behind. It is my duty as a parent to teach him right from wrong, I'm the one that has to show him that life comes with rules. He has to learn about cause and effect, I can't just throw up my hands, and say what the heck, If I don't teach him but one thing in this world, I'm going to teach him RESPECT. I'm closing this now, with just one thing left to say.....The future of tomorrow is in the hands of the youth today. Invest wisely, and you will reap the rewards.
