not happy with mr.coffee!

Today I placed a call to the Mr.Coffe customer service dept. That did not go well. I also wrote an email to the customer service dept. Perhaps that will get some attention. Below is a copy and paste of that email. I have used Mr.Coffee coffee makers exclusively for years. And have recommended the purchase of Mr. Coffee coffee makers to everyone when the opportunity presented itself. I was given a new Mr Coffee coffee maker for x mas to replace my aging unit which I have had for so many years. My old unit finally brewed its last pot of coffee a few nights past and was time to put to use my new x mas gift. Much to my displeasure, this replacement unit, model istx95, is of horrible design. The coffee itself is not hot for very long, in fact, in the morning it was luke warm, tepid at best. I placed a call to the Mr.Coffee customer service. I told the representative what the machine was doing. I was informed that the machine is working correctly. The lady suggested that I rinse the vessel with hot water before brewing coffee. Great idea, although why on earth would this $65 coffee maker have a brew delay feature? Am I to wake before the coffee maker, rinse the vessel with hot water to warm it up and then have the delay feature wake up and brew a pot automatically? Ridiculous. To say that the conversation with the customer service representative was less then fruitful would be an understatement. Sadly, as this was a gift, the receipt is unavailable, the box was thrown away already, and I am stuck with a $65 machine that in my mind is of horrible design and function. Since this $65 machine is basically useless to me, I have gone to the local RiteAid, where I purchased and am very happy with, a $25 coffee maker made by Black and Decker. It has a delayed brew feature. This morning I awoke to find a pot of piping hot coffee waiting for me. Short of placing this machine in the garbage, or trying to con someone out of $5 for it at a yard sale, what do you suggest that I do with this $65 paperweight? Stuffing it where the sun doesn't shine is not an option I care to explore. I would appreciate a timely and courteous response.
