My girlfriend is moving from New York to the midwest sometime this fall. She ask me if I would mind taking funds that she is sending and opening up a bank account. She is a former model and gets residuals for modeling she has done in the past. She has two boys and I have a daughter also.
The amount of money is substantial(almost 1 million dollars). She has been looking at house with me on line and wants to pay cash.
The question is, do I open up the account in my name, or just hold the check until she gets here? She has kind of left it up to me at this point.
