so tuesday at work,the general manager decided in her infinite wisdom that after we closed at 9,one of the other employees could cut out leaving just two others of us,both us management.so i let the other dude handle all the officework crap.that left me 45 minutes to finish up with the birds(oh yeah,i work at petco),grab the trashes,put the store back in order,and verify the stuff needin verifyin in the office.it took 20 minutes to finish the birds,went around picking up the store a bit and then went to do the trash.when i went to grab the womens bathroom trashbag,i was blessed to discover someone with diarrea basically used the trash can as a crapper(please insert sarcasmhere).so i managed to take care of that,unfortunately i cant say that my stomach did.finally get everything done and its time to go.i decided morning crew could handle rebagging the cans,i should have known better tho.My assistant manager comes in today,an bein the jolly friendly type i am said howdy.instead of replying back with a greeting she commences to let me know that I totally screwed her because she closed the next day and there were no bags.she said that it didnt matter that i ran out of time,and so what if i had to literally deal with a can full of shit or that we were down a person,thats MY job and it should have been done.thats the key part there that pissed me off.ive done trash when there were no bags and it shouldve actually taken a lil bit less time than normal.so motivated by that i now have a copy of all of her duties according to corporate and so i can play this lil game properly a list of mine as well.it was kind of nice to find out that i answer to the general manager,not her.so im about to start a lil game at work using her "its your job" statement for motivation.i think im gonna be the only one enjoyin it tho.does that make me evil?
