I am a divorced 38 year old woman. I have a 12 year old son who is my life! After 20 years with my ex I finally have found a place that is my own, with my own stuff! Noo0ne to tell me to turn off the lights or to turn off the TV before I fall asleep. Its my place and I pay the bills! I know for some that sounds silly but for me its freedom. We divorced 3 years ago and I will tell that it has taken a while to get used to the fact that I can do what I want! My son is happier also. It took him awhile to adjust but in the end my Mom was right she said "If you are happy he will be happy"! My mom passed away in 1999 from cancer; Diagnosed and gone in 4 months. Very devastating indeed! I managed to get through it and now I live by the words she told me: "Life is to short to just accept something cuz it's there, Take it, make it yours and be fulfilled!" I have done that and I am happier then I have ever been! I have a son who is an honor roll student and the best friends a girl could have! I guess I cant ask for more then that!
