Ok, here I go and will probably be banned or deleted or whatever but honestly I do not care...First and foremost the tickers piss me off, they are a stupid waste of space and they make your pc do screwy things for alot of people and they are also OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. I checked them out when they first added them like everyone else did and they were 50k fubucks for those of us not forunate enough to spend real money on Fubar, but I digress...I thought 50k for 24 hours of a scrolling way to fast message that no one is going to pay attention to anyway? WOW
Anyway, I have a young friend that I play an online game with, his name is TJ and he has luekemia. He has a website where his friends and family can check on his progress and get the address for him. (His wish in life is to become the record holder for having the most hats from around the world and likes it when people send him a hat, that btw he then donates to other cancer patients.) So I thought, wow, great I think TJ is worth 50k fubucks (and then some), so I think I will buy a ticker and spread the word about my very special little friend. Now as I read the ticker "rules", I understood them to say you could not promote a business or a profit website in the ticker. Tj's site is neither a business nor for profit so I thought ok great, here we go. Much to my surprise I get to the ticker page and low and behold the ticker is now 100k. Shocked to say the least. But again, I think so much of this little guy that I decided it is still worth it. So I type into the little 60 word limit box, www.tjsjourney.com, please help the little guy out. Well i just received and email from the all elusive mailman@fubar.com telling me that my ticker has been declined. I didn't get my fubucks back though I noticed and although I am sure that I now have a "ticker credit", who the hell wants it? I would have much rather kept my money to buy gifts for friends if I can not say what I want to on the ticker. I understand the fact that they do not want it to be a rolling advertisment for businesses and for profit websites but poor little old TJs page is not any of that. And of course when I question the decision, there is NEVER a reply from the "mailman". Now BabyJ has absolutely no problem at all popping up on my screen to ask me to invite more of my friends because hes broke every other time I log on or taking real life money for almost anything imaginable (and yes before you bash) I do realize this is how he makes his living, however, has anyone ever stopped to calulate just how money this guy is making off of us but yet still managing to screw us at every turn. Think about it, hes getting $100 per happy hour and there are (for the sake of aurguement) 50 happy hours in an average weekend. Do you all realize, he just made $5000 in one weekend and that is not including the VIP, blasts, tickers, and anything else he can get you to pay for? Ok, that my rant for today, sorry it is so long but I had to get it off of my chest because I am really pissed off that I do not have the option to put a charity as a ticker. Thank you for letting me vent this afternoon. Love you all and miss me if I get deleted...
