I believe its monday... Good morning people. Ever heard of the studio tan? It's the suntan that you don't get when you are in the recording studio all the time!! You can tell the guys who are 'in the studio' cos they start to get this translucent white color!! I think I'm getting a studio tan! Today is another day of writing. I'm also working on putting some finishing touches on a V-Blog that i've been promising for like 4-ever! I'm going to try to start making them a weekly thing. But don't hold me to that but I'll try.... Also here are some answers to e-mails that we have been getting. We are have some mail problems again but I told it will be fixed soon. Stacy- LA shows for LSR will be happening soon. Jay - If "BDM" starts to do well at radio we will most likely film a video for it. When that happens if we need extras I'll send something out on myspace. It would be great to have some of our friends on here in the video. Jezzi - Great question! My favourite book would be at the moment "don't try this at home" Sue - That is pure GENIUS. Tasting musical notes??!! What I wanna know is.....what notes constitute Strawberries And Cream? I'll write a 10 minute song that ONLY has those notes in them. Or maybe the chorus will be notes that taste like Mixed Vegetable Curry from Flavor Of India on Santa Monica Blvd!! Lisa - Jesus!! I know hundreds of songs on acoustic. The problem is remembering what songs I know when I actually go to play one!! OK people - I have drivelled on enough for today. It seems that the I-Tunes single,Boys Don't matter, is a worldwide release. The song was inspired by an e-mail a fan sent the band. The e-mail stated how when she listened to L.S.R she was able to escape the things that troubled her in her world. Work didn't matter, school didn't matter and boy's didn't matter. She went on to talk about how she was in a abusive relationship & that when things got bad she just turned the music up. The e-mail moved the band to write a song about breaking free of anything that makes you unhappy.

We've been just working away in the studio, writing some pretty cool stuff I think. I'll try to keep the site updated as often as possible. Someone asked How is the songwriting process different with the new band? Pretty interesting. We do a lot of jamming on certain stuff, and just kind of let the vibe flow. We also take more of a song writing approach at times, Me sitting in my music room coming up with riffs and progression then letting justin do his thing over it. An initial riff, rarely remains the original riff for very long. We allow ideas to grow if they are good, and go if they are not. I just want to say that the support here has been incredible!!!!!!! I can't wait for everyone to hear the c.d. we have been working on. With any luck I'll be posting a new song every month on our myspace page until it comes out but we will see. We will have a brand new song up in a week or so... Peace, David

Another year bites the dust! I hope everyone has had a great holiday!We are definately on a roll in rehearsal. The band sounds as tight as ever and the new songs have come together nicely. We need a bridge on one of them, and then we are ready for the lyrics. Its a good feeling to be writing and rehearsing new songs.......just wanna get out there and play!! Patience was never my strong point. I seem to have been in various studios for ages now - I love it - dont get me wrong - but I also live for being on the road. Put me on a bus and send me off for a year or two.....YES!!! Be patient - LSR are working our asses off and we will be out there this year playing every city/country we possibly can. Thats a promise.Once all the business types are back from their holidays (they all seem to stop work on Dec 1st and dont start again until the middle of JAN!!!) we should be able to confirm LSR plans for 07 Look for 2 new songs to be posted on our myspace page by the end of the month as well as 1 or 2 more next month from our fourth coming c.d. I spent the day yesterday frantically working on all these new ideas we have. I stopped for a few hours to go to rehearsal. We ran through a couple new songs a bunch of times to make sure we were ready to record them. Then I came back and continued working at home until I fell asleep at the computer! Fast foward to today & Its an early start for us as we are in the studio finishing up vocals for "i wish i didn't care and additcted" they'll sound killer by the end of the day. So here it is again. Holiday season. The time of year when you randomly feel obliged to buy something from Sharper Image for the Uncle or Aunt that you havent spoken to since last year .... I have never understood the pressure that comes with the whole present-buying thing. I mean, parents, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends .... I get it. We love those people. We also know them a little, which means we can buy a gift that actually means something. But how many times have you found yourself in The Discovery Channel store in the Mall, staring at a DVD of 'The Amazing Planet' and trying to think who you could give it to ? It might just be me, but I always end up getting stuff that means nothing, for people that I don't even know!!! WNCI's Jingle Ball: It really is a whirlwind when we do that kinda thing. One minute, I am waking up, drinking starbucks and trying to clear the fog in my head and get a picture of my day. And the next I am crawling back into my bed at about 3.30am having soundchecked for five hours, meeted and greeted, shook hands, smiled a lot, played a show and drove home. Its a ton of fun, but I wish I could learn to be in the moment when its all taking place. I spend so long working on a show and thinking about all the details that once it arrives, I am too busy going over stuff in my head to appreciate whats going on! The band sounded really tight! Its a bizarre thing that we do, and I always expect it to fall apart at any moment. But it doesnt, and people seem to have a lot of fun - both audience and band go home smiling. And isn't that what it is all really about? I'd like to thank Josh Hoge and Jeret From Bowling for soup for being FUCKING awesome. & of course my good friends Marty & Dak for well... U know... We had some drama at the show with our set time but in the end it all worked out & I have to remind myself everything happens for a reason.
