I have lived a very strange and fulfilling life, although many would say I am too young to know. if only age was just a number my friend, but it is not how long you spend breathing in this world, but what you do in the time you have spent here. I was on and off the streets in this town for a long time where i really got caught up in the madness. I have been raped and beat up so many times i cant remember the exact number.... well at least up until a little over two years ago when I took off with a wonderful guy I met. We hung out for three days and then decided to head to Arcada for 420.... we hitched all the way to Santa Rosa and then ended up in a town I was proud to call home, Guerneville,CA. Population 1050. Basically a big drug hole in the middle of the redwoods with the most interesting people and the most beauty I have ever seen in one place. (I have been all over the world) My love and I's last road trip took us all the way to Arkansas from California and back.... We attend the National Rainbow Gatherings every year, and plan to be there again this year in Colorado. This is my first time having a roof over my head instead of a pack on my back in so many years. We moved in here November 18th, 2005 and wow. I dont think i will ever get used to not being on the streets or on the road. you can think whatever you want, but out on the road you learn quick how to survive and the true meaning of gratefulness. It taught me that i dont need running water or electricity to be happy. i dont feel any safer within these four walls then i did out there. I dont need to have any posessions or even a penny to my name, when i have my dogs and my love and my family.... the kind not listed on a birth certificate, i know what it is to be rich. I have never once felt poor. I suffer an addiction, ot at least thats what they say "suffer" although i dont think that is quite the word for it. there isnt too much suffering involved. I am a person of truth... whether it saves or slaughters me. Right now i am about ready to hit a nervous break down.... I have my three month old who, two large akita/sharpeis and a house to keep up, i am in a 4yr school (online) full time and start a new job tomorrow morning after my "group" for my program. My love works all night and now i will be working all day and that is really straining us trying to find the time to keep up time for us. Busy doesnt even begin to cover it. We were going to get married on April 15, 2006 which is our aniversary.... however when i got pregnant that sort of put a hold on things. we believe in Kharma and so now that we are in a place (although back in a town i hate) we have had our friends/street kids crashing here almost every night for months. Durring that month it rained here we had 6 people other than us in our one bedroom mobil home. my love and i take the couch. we spend all our food stamps every month to cook low budget meals for everyone. it is very draining, but that is what life is really about. yes it is frustrating to never have hot water assuming you can even get into the bathroom.... or the countless dishes and constant mess, but that is what i stand for. i dont have to have much, but i will share what i do have. there is no life to me that is unworthy of love and friendship and protection.
