"Kitten"
A kitten kicks a ball of yarn
Fur as dark as an autumn night
The yarn is frail, falling apart
The kitten paws it with delight
Eyes like onyx, this kitten purrs
The yarn is strewn across the floor
A patch of white like a harvest moon
The yarn rolls through another door
Back and forth goes the fragile yarn
It's coming undone bit by bit
Will the kitten grow bored and leave?
Or will it take the yarn with it?
