I have been drama free for a while now. My blog was talking about what happened in my life and what I had to overcome to get to that point. It angers me that this person felt the need to "stir the pot" AND release info that could lead people to my place of residence if they chose to do so and some was just flat out fabrication. I'm a single mom with two children.
My attorney, at the time of the divorce, said that what she had said prior to this latest event was defamation and slanderous. He said basically she doesn't own anything of value that we know of to go after. She is an independent singer with an album out and one due in the spring however, she isn't signed with a major label to which we can go after proceeds. He said more than likely she is trying to push me into saying something and come after me since she knows that I have assets.
I have posted the blog about me called, "Last day of the Year" and copied the wording of the fake profile(that she changed upon reading my blog)entitled, "Her response to my end of the year blog" The only editing that I did was to block out the case # for my protection. If you just want to read it.
Why should I care? She contacted 320 people on New Years Day with slanderous info and a way for anyone to gather personal and public records about me. People were calling me concerned about my safety.
My question is: Do you think that people like that should be able to slander someone knowing full well they can get away with it because they have nothing in their name? |
