StatMnd's blog: "Inside the mind of yours truly"

It's all a state of mind. Well if you didn't know, thats what StatMnd stands for. But at that time it took on a whole new meaning. Black, white, chinese etc. Being black or white or any race is a state of mind. If you stand back and look at you're surroundings you'll see what I mean. You have white people acting "black" and you have black people acting "white". It's really interesting if you look at it from the outside in. We as people have infiltrated and come accustom to each of other's state of mind so well, that people can't label a person by color any more. How a person acts isn't just color alone, again it's their state of mind. I had this epiphany one day while playing a video game, the likliness of all places. The character, who was white said, "I'm tired of people poppin caps in the hood, man" and the black character said, " No matter how hard you try you'll never be black." then a third character said, "Black is a state of mind.". All sort of things went through my head and it all became clear at the point. Especially after really dissecting what he had just said and applying to the real world and what I see everyday. No longer can the way a person act be attributed to what color they are, that explanation would have been fine some 35 to 65 years ago, but to be more definitive about it, think back to about 100 to 350 years ago, when hopping a plane to anywhere in the world wasn't readily available. Or speaking to someone from around the the world through your computer wasn't at your disposal. But then again to really know and become transmogrified, you have to be in contact with the state of mind in question. If you really think about it, this is evolution at work all around us, nothing stays the same and nor should it. Everything has a place to go, in some cases it just takes time to get there. What will the tendencies and persona of the people of different race be 50 or even 100 years from now? Will people still be labeled by color or will those phrases take on new meaning for how a person acts. Time will only tell. And that's a state of mind I wish to see.

I think this still relates even thought the holiday has passed so here goes. Christmas.... I really don't care for this shallow holiday at all. I mean I didn't have bad christmases ( is there even a plural for that word??) when I was growing up, I mean more than likely I got what I asked for, but thats just the point I'm stressing..... why does christmas have to be about what you're going to get? When did how much did something cost and howcome this person didn't get anything for me outweigh family and friends? Like that bothers me a whole lot that, the society we live in so materialistic. Howcome people you haven't seen in a while, such as your grandmother or other relatives you haven't seen in a while seem meaningless unless they brought something for you. and with that being, if you do get something for them they want to get upset at the fact of what they got you. There are so many people out here who get nothing for christmas, let alone see family or have a decent meal on that day, but people want to complain about what they got for christmas or the lack there of. Doesn't anybody remember when your relatives gathered at your home or you went to thier home and had fun, like playing games, talking about old times, laughing at the stuff you did with them the last time you were together. Christmas has no meaning to me in my heart anymore because of these reasons. It has turned into a commercial holiday for the all "important" dollar. Go figure that.

This subject will never go away. It still puzzles me to this day, but anyway... The whole concept of law enforcement is interesting, I was watching an episode of Cops right before I wrote this, and I have to say; the whole concept of law enforcement is sad. We as people are supposed to be so advance and sooo civilized, but yet we need law enforcement. C'mon now that doesn't even make sense. I could see us needing some type of enforcement for children, and when I mean children I mean young children like 5-7 because anything past that you have a pretty good concept of right and wrong. We are adults people, but yet we need somebody to hold our hands because we don't know how to act. That is soooo sad its funny. When will people as a whole think about the stuff they do and be like "damn I have to be such an ass to do this" and stop...... But then again we are the HUMAN race so that will never come to be.

This is something I posted elsewhere but I felt the idea still needs to be presented and people give feed back on it just the same. What is attraction, I mean what is it really? What attracts you to another person fully and makes you want them oh soo badly? I mean yeah you can look at someone and be attracted to them, but what about after you get to know that person? Are you still attracted to them? Are you only worried about how they look and not how they act? Could you just be using or liking that person just because of how they look? Do you go as far as to foolishly have sexual relations with someone just because they look good, knowing later you won't have anything to do with them. How could you live with yourself? But I guess its okay for some, because they were only thinking about themselves at that moment? Yeah, I don't care, in any aspect you have to be physically attracted to someone in some aspect, but after that what do you have? I mean if you can't get along with that person, what do you have just a physcial relationship? And that won't last too long because that some thing you were looking for in the person you were with at the time you will go looking for elsewhere and then you start the cycle all over again. I mean yeah, the 1st few months with a person are fine if you get that far with a person, but what about those people who've been together years and they still live life together like they've just met a month ago and are just dating, those people have that "thing" about them. There are aspects about the other person you like sooo much about the other person besides how they look that you can't get enough of. Yeah they're "friends with benefits" but the benefits are being in the company of each other and being happy with every moment they are together experiencing all aspects of life together, yeah they may have those days where everything doesn't seem to go one person's way but they compromise for the good of the both of them. I mean whats sex? You can get sex anywhere, but sex with someone you like and love is soo much better, because you actually care for that other person, instead of just trying to fill your need and going to the next person. Alot more aspects go into being attracted to someone then just how they look. I've met some (in my opinion) very attractive females and their personality makes them the one of the ugliest persons in the world, and it just makes you wonder, and I'm pretty sure all of you have said the same thing at some point about someone...he/she is a very attractive person I don't understand why they're single.
