What are you waiting for?

I wrote this on our 20 yr reunion site. We set a mermorial up for the 3 people from our class that passed away...Kyle took his own life in 2002. He was one of my best friends growing up. Here's something I wrote for him...... -------------------------------------------------- Thanks for posting that John, You are a class act bro. WOW! Where do I start, so many fond memories. It was my Sophmore year that I first met Kyle. We were both trying out for the JV Baseball Team. As I remember correctly, I fortunately made the team and Kyle was selected onto the taxi list with two others one was Jimmy Williams and I forget the other. Everyone gave them crap about it. They'd put their hands up and yell "TAXI...TAXI!!". It was funny for a couple of minutes. I was very dissapointed that he didn't make the team, cause when I fist saw him I was all...Damn this guy is gonna crush the ball...lol. He did for the most part. But we got along right from the start. He was way cool to me. I remember the first time we hung out, we crashed a Stanford frat party. We had such a blast. And yes, we did roll up in the infamous "Blue Station Wagon". Me and him almost threw down a case that night. I have no idea how we got home that night...lol. From then on we were bro's. The second time we hung that year, we went to a party in Santa Cruz with his crush at the time who was Laura Couchman, who went to Saratoga. When we got to the party and discovered the Suicidal Tendencies. This was right before their first album came out. That party was sick! Only thing that sucked was the flat tire on the way back...but we overcame that somehow and got back in one piece. If it wasn't for Kyle I would have never met Bob and John Kaminski, Adam Montadon, Brian Erdman, Dusty "Dustin" Holliday and Scott Schaetzle and had all those great times at "The Court". Even after H/S we all would still hang out there off and on. I remember Kyle's nickname, but I never called him by it. It just wasn't my thing. But Kyle did make fun of himself and did it very well. He didn't give a S*** about what anyone else thought. That's what made him who he was. I remember everytime he used to get fired up, he used to do his patented call...."Hehh Hehhhh Hoooooo!!!! that cracked me up eveytime...Our first summer out of school we hung together. I had received a settlement from getting nailed by a car when I was kid. It wasn't all that much, but I ended up buying a used VM Rabbit and a bitchin 10 piece drum set. All the other money I blew partying and other accessories. Every week Kyle used to ride with me to the bank to withdraw money for the week. Then we would rage all week. 12 pack after 12 pack. Chillin at Stevens Creek. I will never forget those times for the rest of my life...I could go on and on...KYLE...will always be in my heart and on my mind....miss him tons!! and as John said...I know your in a better place...and yes me and Chris did toast his memory...We will never forget you bro!!
