The other day I hit a dog. I was driving down the road and a dog ran out and I killed it. It was the first day of school even. I got out of the truck and seen that the dog was dead and checked it for a collar. On the collar was a tag that said if found reward and the address of the owners.
So I took the dog to the house. A woman answered with three or four little ones getting ready for school. She had tears in her eyes and asked me to bury the dog so her kids did not see it before school.
I went back and put the dog in the back of the truck. Yet something bothered me. So I took off the collar and took it back to the lady. She began screaming at me and throwing stuff.
Weird I know. So should I have done?
a. Not ask for the reward?
b. Just buried the dog and forgot about it?
I still think the woman owes me something |
