So I designed a commercial building with 5 stores under 6 apartments which is now under construction. The Fire separations between the apartments and stores must be rated for 2 hours. I specified an assembly that meets the code but the builder has asked to use another assembly.......now what should I do.....
A Tell him that he has to use the assembly I specified (3 layers of sheetrock +)
B search for an approved assembly with the product that the builder wants to use.....this would prolly take the rest of today |
