| I am made to stand outside. If I am allowed inside, I have to sit in a special section. I am not allowed into most public venues. People are taught to hate me. People feel it is their civil duty to walk up and tell me what they think of me even if they don't know me. People will go to the other side of the street to avoid me. Children are taught to tell an adult if they see any sign of anyone that smells like me. I have had a child say, "Eeeeeew! I need a disinfectant now!" I have had several children go to their principal to tell them that they are scared of me since they knocked over my purse, something that is still legal in all 50 states fell out and they saw them. An e-mail was sent to my boss and she asked if I would like to be reassigned because they are not going to stop. I didn't do anything wrong. NOTHING! I just did my job and they took it upon themselves to belittle me for something I didn't even do in front of them! Every single time I am confronted with this it makes me angry. I am an adult. I pay my taxes and I obey the law so why is it that I am not afforded basic rights? |
