I heard the most beautiful words spoken by a man to a woman. Words that my heart and soul ached to hear for an eternity. This beautiful and wonderful man made me feel the most secure and loved I have ever felt in my entire life. I never thought it possible to fall more in love with this amazing being than I already have. I never thought that three simple words could fill my heart with such joy and peace.
When he holds me in his arms and feel his heart beat next to mine, tears come to my eyes. My heart aches with fear that this wonderful, beautiful man may only be a dream and I will wake with my arms and life empty once more. Afraid his soothing voice and declarations of his love only the soft whispers of a breeze blowing thru my hair and past my ear. His smile only the brilliant color of a rainbow. His penetrating blue eyes only two bright stars shining in the dark of night. His touch only the warmth of the glowing sun.
Then I wake to feel his arms wrapped around me protecting me from the dark loneliness. Feeling his breath on my skin warming my soul. His gentle heart beating in time with mine. Bringing tears of joy to my eyes as his eyes open and he graces me with his smile.
Whispering to me those three beautiful words………………………… I Love You.
