Good morning… Another snowy cold and nasty day in Michigan. I see we are still (Michigan) the worst place to get a job in the nation. With unemployment at the highest rate in the nation 7.6 % and our leading job offerings are in automotive related areas. Oh we do have trade and tourism too… Way to go Jennifer!
It was not only banks in the U.S. that freely loaned money over the last few years, but also those in India, and not surprisingly, many of their debtors have recently run into trouble making payments. Indian banks, inexperienced at collecting from so many defaulting consumers, often prefer to hire "goondas" (thugs) to settle debts the old-fashioned way, according to a January Wall Street Journal report. Though iron-bar beatings are frowned upon, some bankers say it's their only recourse because of the numbingly slow pace of the Indian legal system. [Wall Street Journal, 1-8-08] Goondas I just love that word. It doesn’t sound bad however most languages foreign to me sounds good, so I would not know a swear word from a Hello there how are ya. But, goondas is a cool name. Bad meaning but cool word I will use that a lot today at work, but say it means something else.
I know I sometimes can drive someone to drink…hmmm come to think of it I have before. That’s another story… but these people should have quit at the point the brain says, dude you have had too much stop it right now! There was a comedian that did a bit on the stomach and drinking how our brain and stomach control what we intake. I think the bit was called Party in the stomach, someone sent it to me I can’t recall who but it was hilarious. I still have it if anyone wants a copy. Anyway on to the people who said Uno-Maas Christopher Dougherty, 22, the subject of a "drunk pedestrian" police call in Kingsport, Tenn., on Oct. 14, was tracked to a Hardee's restaurant, where he was face-down in a plate of gravy. [Kingsport Times-News, 10-17-07] Dude, Hardee’s Biscuits and Gravy sucks… at least here in Michigan it does…it’s the same stuff you can by at Lowes Lumber Yard to cover up cracks and holes in drywall. Yuck! But the next story has to take the cake. I give Tina the Atta-Girl award for saving her beer from whip lash. Tina Williams was arrested in St. Augustine, Fla., on Super Bowl Sunday, charged with DUI and failure to have her 1-year-old daughter seat-belted or in a car seat. However, a case of Busch beer was safely buckled up in the front seat. [First Coast News, 2-4-08] Tina…Tina Tina Busch! I am surprised the kid was not behind the wheel and Tina not barking out directions…
Oh well, that is all I could muster up for one day, we purchased, Bonnie Purchased a VHS to DVD type devise for the computer to DVD and categorize all our old home movies…I was almost in tears watching Mandy when she was about three years old and I was instructing her on how to throw off the proper foot… I had patience back then… extreme patience…and I also was skinny as a Bean pole. Gosh how times change… Well enough on that have a fabulous day.
