We actually have sunshine this morning - wonder how long it will last, lol! It has been cold, with highs running in the 30's, lows in the teens and 20's. Fine, except when the wind is blowing - which is most of the time these days, lol.
Requiem's debut went pretty well, considering it was their first true gig, lol. I have to agree with Taylor that they need to practice a song ALL TOGETHER before they try to do it in public, lmao! They tried to do Metallica's Seek and Destroy without having played it all the way through TOGETHER before. Not bad, but I could tell Taylor was not happy - he was trying to hand signal people where they needed to come in, or change tempo. The band also needs a back up singer that knows what he's doing. Taylor wants voice lessons - I think I can swing for that, lol! I think their best was the song they wrote themselves, wish I could remember the name of the thing, lol.
I had to break the ice with the headbanging, lol! I was afraid Taylor and Dakota would be embarrassed! Dakota might have been at first, but Taylor was fine with it. Same with the bandmates.
Hey, this grey-haired Mom headbangs and she does it well, lmao! Lots of hair to fly around. By the end of the night, everyone was up front headbanging to beat the band, lol! Young ones, I swear!!
I did go into work yesterday. Wasn't too hard a day, though, which was nice.
I guess I need to break down and start doing a little decorating for Christmas/Yule. I did not do any decorating last year - it was kind of bizarre! But Taylor made the request that we decorate at least a little to get in the appropriate Holiday spirit, lol! For my baby - yeah, he'd kill me for saying that - I'll do it!
But first, I need to do some major throwing out of the crap these guys like to collect! And they'd better help me this time! Or no decorating, lol!!
Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone! Much love and warm hugs for one and all, lol. Blessings, all over the place, for all my friends, all over the world! You are loved and appreciated more than you know.
Later! Muahz!
Addendum: The name of the song the band wrote themselves is "Gripping To Death!" Catchy title, huh!?
