Sharkfin's blog: "Chaos"

Good Morning and hello there and how’ ya doin? I am fine and survived the long, long weekend. The cubs game was great, too many beers, but I did enjoy the game. Then Friday the fund raising golf outing found our team in the winners circle…whoopee and happy day…starting that day one eye open and one eye closed must have been the secret as I played very well and helped pole-vault us to a huge -16 under par yeah baby! So that was fun, Saturday found me attending the last Grad parties of the season, thank the maker there, I was running out of money…Sunday and fathers day found me doing nothing but relaxing and being waited on by the gals…that was a great day. I did find some not ready for prime time criminal stories that are too cute not to post, here they are: Not Ready for Prime Time: Lolita Bullock turned herself in to sheriff's deputies in Jacksonville, N.C., in May, confessing to robbing a Bank of America a week earlier. She then immediately requested the "crime stoppers" reward money, which (since she was then under arrest) she asked be given to her friend who accompanied her. [WWAY-TV (Wilmington, N.C.), 5-14-07] Ok if that was not bad enough… DES MOINES, Iowa -- Des Moines police said pantyhose worn by a robber saved his life Thursday morning. Police said Matthew Frederick Tandy, 33, robbed a Walgreen’s at 104 E. Euclid Ave. dressed as a woman. Police said an officer pursued Tandy, who was wielding a knife. Police said that when Tandy lunged at the officer, the officer nearly fired his gun, but Tandy's pantyhose got caught on a chicken wire fence. Police charged Tandy with robbery and harassment of a police officer. But, this next little ditty has got to be hands down the funniest thing I have seen and makes me think that we need to test the institutions where these harden criminals get sent to…I will call this the Least Competent Jailers segment…Timothy Rouse, 19 (and who had been charged with assaulting an elderly person), was matter-of-factly released from the Kentucky Correctional and Psychiatric Center in LaGrange in April after jailers accepted as official a crudely written, ungrammatical fax ordering him freed, supposedly from the state supreme court but whose originating line clearly showed a local grocery store. Furthermore, it took the jailers two weeks to realize they had been scammed. (Fortunately, Rouse was easily re-arrested at his mother's house.) [Canadian Broadcasting Corporation-AP, 4-21-07] Now I am not knocking Kentucky’s institutionalism’s but, my gosh…how in the world can you not tell the difference from a legal document faxed in from the proper authority then that of the perpetrators family and it was hand written and badly spelled… and then faxed from a grocery store… I can safely say that that kid gave it the ole college try… So on this Monday have a wonderful one and may your day be superb in every way. A huge Michigan hug and numerous pats. Mart
