Good Morning, good news and bad news day. Well actually isn’t everyday a good news and bad news day? I mean think of it…someone wins the lottery, good news right? Well someone who thought they needed to win it didn’t so it is bad news…Gas prices rise up…bad news… good news housing interest drops down…good news…You know there is a window in every moment that opens up for good news and also closes down on bad news. Take for instance the wild. The evolution of life. Bigger animals catch and consume little animals…is it the law of the fittest? Nature? Or is it that animals time. Once Dinosaur’s roamed the planet and so did early man. Early man I am sure was lunch a time or two for our long passed dinosaur creatures. But on that same note so was a Dinosaur Diner for the early man. Hawks and Eagles tend to be called birds of prey. They seek out and catch smaller slower birds and rodents. But their shelf life is not great. I mean Eagles have been on the endangered species list for years…who are their predators? Well man for one. We have to have trophy’s, prizes, memories, something to hold onto to show we have seen them…how about a Kodak moment instead of a bullet, or perhaps that land was just fine without a house on it, let along a subdivision…We are consumers, so we consume and destroy, not our intention but our outcome. There was hoards of bad news in my last statements as well as good news… See one persons good news is another persons bad… and one persons bad news is another persons good…how you say? Well, take for instance death. It’s terrible on a family member or friend but it causes jobs, caretakers, funeral parlors, embalmers you name it, another casket gets sold… let me get out of the gruesome for a moment and back to good and bad, but not bad, bad news…In a world where we have so many people one persons good news has to be another’s bad news… can’t afford a car or a house…you move into a more affordable and someone wanting that next leg up takes another’s unaffordable. It’s a sometimes viscous circle. But that is what life is, trials and tribulations filled with good bad, not so good and not so bad. Here is one close to home for me. Mandy is moving south this coming weekend, sad for me. She is so, so much like her dad. We laugh at the same things we have the same sense of humor and she is truly competitive like me. But, she wants to get that leg up, move on to college and start living her dream, well its my nightmare. I mean she can’t live at home until I am worm food, or she is an old lady, I knew one day this day would come. But, I am not ready for it… she by tears with leaving her friends, and the home she has always known is perhaps not ready as she thought she was…wow…it was tough to write that let alone reread it to make sure it sounded ok, but it doesn’t sound ok, that is just it…her moving is good for her future but bad for my present. It will be fine, I have to trust it will be fine…
Another good news bad news close to home is Jax, she got a promotion at the Whirlpool company she is working in conjunction with. The raise was $4.00 more an hour…that is significant. Shoot I can’t recall getting a 4.00 raise ever! But her good news is fabulous to us and Jax but to a lady that had been working there for 3 years and to see Jax come in and in three months take a position that was being eyed by this lady for years…is bad news…
My brother, you know the one who spent a fortune looking for and jumping thru hoops to gain the love of a Pilipino lady and did all the necessary things that had to be done to move her here to Florida said to me once, Every day you take a bite of the dirt sandwich…(I substituted dirt…for well…it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what it could have been between the slices of bread) Some days you get all dirt… just tons of it and some days you just get a grain or too, but then there are the days that it is all bread…
Good and bad….happy and sad….they go hand in hand as we walk this land…
Hopefully you are on a good day, things go your way, it is a all bread day and no dirt…that would be cool by me….
But, for now I must wish you the best in what ever is in store for you and yours and theirs and whom ever…
