memorial day weekend

hi everyone this weekend is the memorial day long weekend for everyone in the states. its a time to remember all the people that were lost in fighting to help make the world a free one. its not just the soldiers in the states that we should remember but every soldier from every country that have lost their lives fighting. here in canada when a soldier come home in a casket they are taken from CFB Trenton to Toronto but along the route they are escorted by police all along the route and people line the bridges waving their flags to show their support. police ems and fire are there as well as the regular population. that stretch of road has been called The Highway of Heroes. and it is illegal to pass the funeral cortege and also rude as well. to me that is a name befitting in. in memory of the troops killed in battle. so to everyone please stop and give a minute to remember and think about the lives lost and to remember the families as well during the tragedy. have a safe long weekend all and PLEASE DONT DRINK AND DRIVE.

a sad thing

hi everyone today here in ontario we just got the news that two people of have been arrested in the kidnapping and murder of 8yr old tori stafford from woodstock, ontario. tori has been missing since early april where she was found walking with a woman from her school. the male is charged with first degree murder and kidnapping and the 18yr old female is charged with kidnapping ascessory to murder and helping the male escape. today we learned that she is dead but the police are now searching for the body. on april 25th her profile was showcased on americas most wanted. how can anyone be so cruel and sick and kill a child. we dont know if she was sexually assaulted before she was killed, but that is still dispictable. i hope they rot in jail or they get what they deserved. to any parent that has lost a child you have my heartfelt condolences. to the parents of tori i know it will be a long time before you get closer you will always feel the pain in your loss. i dont know why people do the things they do but i know one thing is that what they have done no matter how bad it is makes me sick to my stomach. so that is my little blog for tonight on an update up here in canada. RIP TORI STAFFORD

hey everyone

hey everyone this is a first time i have written a blog in ages. alot has gone on since i was last on here. i moved out to the country. got dumped by the person i was seeing by a txt during the time i was helping out at a ball tournament for 2 weeks that was fun not. i am still volunteering with the Kinsmen club of Preston running service projects stuff like that. the department i was working in at work shut down and was moved to our sister plant in hungary where they still supply ncr with atm componants and me i am now in the shipping department for the elevator side. before christmas i spent a week in Columbia, SC where i had to fix about 200 atm machines that was alot of fun not but it was on company time lol. and in the next couple of weeks i will be helping out with the music for the Canadian national gymnastics championships and the provincial gymnastic championships the week after. In the news we have now lost over 100 troops in Afghanistan may they RIP. so that is it for now have a great night all

hey everyone its one of those blogs i havent done in awhile. the last week and a half have been an interesting one and a time of heartache and rejection. that is all i need to say on that matter for now. all i can say is that i have moved on. last week i decided i should be back on fubar after being away since the middle of june. if you guys are all wondering where i went. i moved out to the country where i have no internet except dial up which sucks. plus i am happy at the job i am at for the last 2 years where i work in a all girlie department as people say at work lol. the department i work at we build the componants for atm machines pretty much i do all the receiving shipping for my department and help build the things as well. and the other side of the plant they build all the elevator control panels. i am glad to be back. i know when i left the site was still cherrytap. but i see it still has the same great people that i know on here and alot of great new bouncers that work for the site. mike and scrapper you guys are awesome and for making this site a good one. i do miss everyone alot especially all the friends i have made and the bouncer crew that i used to work with. so these are my thoughts for tonight take care all

my thoughts for today

hey fellow cherrytappers hope you are all having a great memorial day long weekend. well its time for one of those thoughts that come to me. first off posting comments on peoples profiles is a great thing but when people start posting comments that are demeaning to people like the one about the cat killing a retard to some it may be funny, but to alot of people that have kids or know of people with down syndrone its not funny then. that i have a problem with if people think its funny. to me everyone is created equal whether they are disabled or have special needs. they are much of a person as we are. they are no different from you and i. and should be loved and treated the same. use your heads people. what if i were to send a comment say to people saying that killing newborns is okay which is not right period you would all up in arms against me for that. not that i am saying i will its just a figure of speech. me personally i have known alot of people with CF, people that are special needs, or other illnesses which they cant control. they are all wonderful people. and they like to laugh and have fun. and some of them are smarter then us. like my favourite movie Rain Man. we all talk about loving everyone equally, but in reality we all dont. and that is the sad part about society. i know i am not perfect nor will i ever say i am and i know i sometimes look down on someone that is different from me and i know its wrong. we all need to grow up and start treating people the same before i ramble on too long i just want to wish all the troops over in afghanistan and iraq the best and that we are all thinking about you all back here at home. and we wish you all come home safely. so that is my thoughts for today. so if it sounds wrong i am thinking while i am typing this blog so forgive me on that.

sixtyfive roses

cystic fibrosis a disease strait from birth which gives each recipient less time on this earth the cure thus far is yet to be found if we keep up the fight we'll keep making ground this disease to a child is hard to pronounce never mind the understanding of this ailment on all counts when asked what she had she said " sixtyfive roses" innocent of all that this illness inposes but growing up combating this ruthless disease gave her strength and faith in ways most cant believe to the greatest degree of life all around the strongest of persons there are to be found she watched her family struggle on day to day bases she kept on encouraging them to become their own persons on her life not to dwell so as al together theyd live their lives well she'll never be forgotten her parents wont allow it as they built the CCF foundation to help the research challenge this destructive disease that is still running strong Kin Canada states "we'll kee trudging on to stamp out this disease until a cure can be found" by emily brown nov. 23 2006
today i was just doing alot of thinking on things in life and other stuff while at work. yes i actually do think about things while building atm componants lol. no in all seriousness its been an interesting april. on monday the students at Virginia Tech were shaken up byy the murders of 32 people by one mentally unstable person. two of the 32 dead were teachers 1 from Isreal and 1 from Canada and students from around the US and the world. first off i am offering my sincerest condolences to the students, families, and teachers of Virginia Tech. you are all thought about up here in Canada as well. did the 32 people deserve to die no they didnt. if we had a time machine i am sure we would like to turn back time if we could to prevent the loss of these innocent lives. up here in canada we have been affected by school shootings. MONTREAL, TORONTO, AND IN ALBERTA. so we stand hand in hand with the people of VT to mourn the loss but we should also take in comfort that they did have a good life in the sense that they were probably honour students, volunteers, mentors, people that were loved by friends and family. they will never be forgotten cause they are in our hearts forever. APRIL 9th the 90th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge where Canadian soldiers lost their lives in retaking of the hill which was one of the turning points of world war 1. we did what the French and the British could not do. and in doing so we grew as a nation. so we honour them lest we forget but this year on the eve of the battle of vimy ridge 6 Canadian soldiers lost their lives to a roadside bomb in afghanistan. this week all 6 soldiers will be buried in their home towns. and also along with 2 other Canadian soldiers that were killed on the weekend. so far in the war in Afghanistan we have lost over 50 soldiers and 1 diplomat. why are we still over there its because we believe in freedom and in helping a country get back on its feet and to stop the fighting. poeple dont realize that it was Canada under Lester B Pearson that started the whole peacekeeping. we are a nation that will not stand by and not do anything. we have a strong military heritage. Canada has fought in the WORLD WARS 1 AND 2, KOREAN WAR, VIETNAM WAR, WAR OF 1812 in which we did burn the White HOuse sorry guys it is history AND WE HAVE TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN, PARTICIPATED IN EVERY PEACEKEEPING MISSION THERE WAS. AND ALSO THE WAR ON TERROISM with our navy heavily involved. so the sacrifices by the soldiers in afghanistan are not in vain nor will they be forgotten as well. to all troops over in afghanistan. we are behind you 100%. GOD BLESS i guess in final closing why did i write this blog is because we must not lose site of life and how precious it is to us. and how much of a sacrifice people make for us to live in a free world. some innocently, some because they know its their job to fight for freedom. I hope this make sense. so to everyone please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers. through this tragic time. thanks ninjasabby-ct bouncer
hey folks, in the very near future we'll be replacing the old private message system with our cherry email stuff. you won't have to do anything to cut over, but i wanted to give everyone a heads up because really old private messages will be gone when we move to the cherry mail system. if you have anything older than a couple days in your current private message inbox that you really want to keep, i suggest you save it (cut & paste or screen shot) to your computer.. when we cut over to cherry mail for private messages, it will include all your PM's over the last few day, but nothing older. also, the weird behavior of the yellow 'unread messages' alert in your alert box is a side effect of us migrating to the new cherry mail system. once we cut over, that weird behavior should go away (and be replaced with all new weird behavior, yay!). ps: i'm still working on the shoutbox... /sigh. pps: we have some sweet new home pages which are almost completed, everyone will have the option of using whichever one they like the most (including the current one). -mike
