Hello Everyone, Well it took me 5 days, but I finally made it to Vegas. I had some car trouble along the way, but got lucky and it didn't hold me up to much. I got to see a lot of this beautiful country and it was amazing. I'm a east coast boy and I can't get over the absence of trees. It blows my mind. The desert scenery is awesome and everyone should see it if they get a chance. My new roommates seem cool. They all come from the east too. It's amazing that the Great Basin Institute was able to get 4 people to come this far for a job. I think the job pool base for wildlife biologists must be pretty slim in this part of the country. Anyways I haven't been on the strip yet. i think I will try to do that today. Hope everyone is doing well. ttys Brent
