My Valentine

Bathing in the light of a midnight moon. A soft picnic blanket is our cocoon. The metamorphosis has begun. As you and I, become one.

The limits of love are endless Grandiose and noblesse Every moment a new plateau Emulating that first hello.

Venturing to places never before seen. Dining on loves delicious cuisine. Unlimited courses for which to devour. Enabling the birth of passions flower.

In the heat of passion, our bodies engage. A placid meadow is our stage. We let go of all inhibitions, Forever chasing love’s intuitions

Melting together like warm ice cream. ‘Neath the lucent lunar beam. To you my heart, I do resign My one and only Valentine

Colors splashed upon a canvas Expounding rhyme and reason The paintbrush tells a story Of love, trust and treason A flux of emotions spread abroad Fusing hues of green and teal Blueprinting a love gone wrong Phantasmagoric and surreal Falling tears of cobalt blue Emblazoned with crimson red Blended well with vivid scarlet Depicting a heart that bled Melding oils on a palette Coining shades of black and gray Distraught strokes glaze the surface Warranted rage on display Fuchsia construes your courtesan Infidelity exposed in viridian light Goldenrod and lemon chiffon Symbolize this woman's blight A recollection of betrayal Expressed in abstract art Hung upon a gallery wall Portrait of a broken heart

Eternity in a Moment There is a melancholy in the air And an emptiness deep inside A flux of emotions overwhelm me Rushing in like a rising tide The sun scintillates the breaking waves Creating diamonds upon every swell Each one is reminiscent Of the eyes that said farewell Bright and glorious for just a moment Then fading as quickly as it came A wondrous gift, although brief Has outlived it’s moment of fame Yet a fingertip beneath the surface Can create a false illusion So at the waters edge Our love has no conclusion I wish that I could stay forever Just outside of reality Avoiding the obvious truth And all it’s brutality But alas, I shall not grieve For that which cannot be Instead I am very grateful For that moment you gave to me The memory of your magnificence Is etched within my mind You may disappear from my sight But within my heart you are confined
