My husband was talking about putting stuff together at the store the other night. Another guy was back there and they decided he should help with assembling, especially since he liked putting things together.
The tables had to have screws put into them but the holes had little plastic coverings to protect them during shipment. The coverings had to be removed before you put the screws in.
The other guy didn’t remove the plastic before trying to insert the screw.
As he told this story, the double entendres got deep. Or not deep, perhaps, since the other guy could not get the screw to go in.
My son (16) was listening and he started laughing at some of it.
Then hubby said, “He didn’t even look, just started screwing. He tried and tried and tried, but couldn’t get it in anyway at all.”
I started laughing and said, “Sometimes it might work better that way for him.”
Son said, “Mom, you aren’t supposed to be talking that way. Guys do but women don’t” Little does he know….
Well, DH said, “Poor sumbitch, couldn’t get it in no which way.”
Paul and I were howling by then.
DH said, “Tried all the holes and couldn’t get it in none of them.”
I was literally holding myself.
DH said, “Finally, I just had to go show him how.”
I asked, “Well, did he ever figure it out?”
He said, “Dumb sumbitch. Tried to say it wouldn’t work because it had a staple in it!”
By this time, neither of us was thinking about a table. My minds eye had gone BLIND and I was laughing so hard my sides hurt. My poor daughter didn’t know what the joke was or why Paul and I were laughing hysterically.
