Ok, so Ive been trying to convince my friend that it is almost necessary to go to some sort of college/trade school/something all those lines after high school, unless she wants to work at McD's for all eternity. She keeps refusing to go only because she doesnt want to leave her mom alone in the house.

Which I understand. She is the baby of 6 kids. Her mom wont be used to being alone. But she doesnt have to leave completely she can commute. Should I keep trying to push her, or just give up?
