What are you waiting for?
As I discuss issues with my fellow sistas, I have discovered it’s much harder for the good sistas to find a really good brotha. A brotha that is not focused on her nice curves but more on her spiritual relationship and her intellect. A brotha that’s not more interested with laying down with her vs. building a spiritual relationship together. I realized ladies, that if we seek after the spiritual relationship then everything we need from the brothas will fall into place! This is not a male bashing because there are some good brothas out there, at least I would like to think. Ladies, we must portray that spiritual relationship that I’m talking about. Now, if you’re not living the lifestyle, then you can expect to get that which you are living! But for the ladies that are living a spiritual lifestyle and still being approached by mess, continue moving forward in that which God has ordained for you. Right now, your ideal man is Him until He sends that man that is to be joined with his wife! I know it gets hard sometimes ladies because we may desire the company of a good brotha, but don’t accept anything just because you are trying to fill that void. Now, if we just want to discuss the “don’t wants” to the brothas, it would probably go like this.
BROTHAS…….
1. We don’t want to have to ask you to take us out on a date, if so then
there’s probably no point in us going
2. We don’t want you to always focus on our physical
3. We don’t want you to live a lifestyle that is unpleasing to our father
4. We don’t want to drag conversation out of you
5. We don’t want to have to initiate everything
6. We don’t want to think for you always
7. We don’t want to have to pay on a date
8. We don’t want you to sit at home while we are fellowshipping in the sanctuary
9. We don’t want you to say a whole lot of stuff and not do it….TALK IS CHEAP!
10. We don’t want you to play with our emotions
SISTAS….I’M SURE THE BROTHAS…….
1. Don’t want you to force them in a relationship
2. Don’t want you to tell them what to do, what to wear, how to think, where to go all
the time
3. Don’t want you to exemplify a lifestyle that goes contrary to what you’re speaking out
of your mouth
4. Don’t want you to be so INDEPENDENT that they feel like there is nothing that they
could do for you
5. Don’t want you to wear provocative clothing that will give them a reason to comment
BROTHAS, the SISTAS……
Don’t want you to be afraid of the love that they can give you. We don’t want you to cheat on us and think that you could just get away with it. Those things will come back on you. We enjoy the comfort in knowing that our man can take care of himself, us and his responsibilities. There is comfort in knowing that he is treating us as the QUEENS that God created us to be. If we are treated as a QUEEN then we can treat our man as a KING. We want to be respected in all things! We want to be trusted! We want to be loved genuinely! We expect the best! We want you to share this spiritual relationship with us so that we can grow together. There is nothing better than having a man in our lives that can be our spiritual growth partner as well as our best friend.
SISTAS, it’s obvious, that the BROTHAS
Don’t think as deep as we do on things and must be told how we want to be loved. However, if they have gained your trust then they have obtained a great thing. When they know that they can trust us, then they are more open about some personal issues. They want to be able to handle situations without you always putting your two-cents in it. They love to feel dominate in every situation and sometimes we must let them be dominate. Don’t be-little them sistas! They love to feel important! Trust me, they love to hear what you like about them and what they’re doing! Don’t move to fast for them sistas. Sometimes they need a little more time to gather their thoughts on things. However, brothas, don’t move too slow or you’ll miss out on that good woman!

I love you all and I pray that God will send you the very man or woman that you desire in your life, if He hasn’t already! The key is to keep your eyes on Jesus and allow Him to pick that which He has already ordained for you! Don’t give up! Keep holding on! I could only express what I have seen, heard and experienced.
