We finally got our power back after 36 hours. Mommy still does not have hers.

It was especially poor timing because we had a special outing planned to see the Nutcracker last night with me, mommy, my sister, my sister-in-law and her daughter. And none of us had a chance to have a proper shower or do our hair or any of that. But owell. The show was beautiful and my niece, who is seven, actually cried when it was over because she didn't want to leave. It was the sweetest thing. Made mommy very happy because she bought the tickets especially with the idea of wanting to give her the experience. We all had fun watching her face during the performance. Her tapping her feet to the music, cringing at the rat king and the wide eyes of dreaming at the sugar plum fairy. So much fun!

And I must also say -- Yay for tight asses in spandex! *giggle*

I remember that one well. That was the "Inauguration Day Storm" that is famous here. I was a senior in high school and had to walk home in the midst of it. Fun stuff. ;c)

When I lived in Tacoma in 92-93 a wind storm came up from Olympia and swept up north all the way into Vancouver...130 mph winds and did the same thing as far as power, and some of the smaller towns in the area went as long as two weeks w/o power.
