The recent collapse of Bear Stearns bank in USA and Northern Rock bank in UK has shown that major banks can collapse without much warning. The savers were lucky: money in both these banks was protected by various government backed guarantee schemes. Now the mumm question......
Most of my money is in one account. Should I spread the money around several different accounts in different banks to minimise risk or just stop worrying and leave it as it is? |
