Keep up the good work Mike. __________________________________________ i've read a bunch of bulletins, blogs, comments, messages, shouts, etc.. all regarding positive and negative feedback on our nsfw flagging. i'm making this post to state some facts for the people who keep posting bullshit because they don't know the truth. do NOT post any comments trying to argue the points with me in this blog entry, consider it zero tolerance day. see item #4. :) 1) Just because we impose an 18+ age limit, does NOT make us a porn site. If that's what you thought, you were wrong and you either need to realize that or leave. It's my fault for not making that more clear in the early days, I suppose. 2) You can still upload adult/nsfw content, but just as ALWAYS, we REQUIRE you to use the tools provided to flag it as such. If you think this is censorship, you're a god damned moron and i ask that you leave cherrytap. 3) Just because you can't use the internet or surf the web from work, doesn't mean no one else can. STFU (translation for non-geeks: shut the fuck up). 4) You have absolutely no right to use this website. Read the Terms Of Service. We go out of our way to make a fun place to hang out. If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem, so get the hell out. Seriously, you're not wanted. 5) Our bandwidth cost alone for the site every month is more than 90% of the members of this site make in a year. You think *that* many people do cherryblasts? Ponder that for awhile. 6) We don't delete photos (although, i do delete accounts of people who don't follow the rules. duh). If you're photo is flagged as nsfw, you need to have the nsfw flag turned on to see it (see your profile settings page to turn it on). 7) We're not a gigantic company full of teams of people to make you happy. There's about 8 of us who spend every damn breathing moment of our life trying to make this site fun and interesting. 8) Just because you run across a photo flagged as NSFW, and you think it shouldn't be, doesn't mean we flagged it! We only forcibly flag like 1% of te nsfw photos on the site (because the owners are too retarded to use it, or are part of the Problem and it was reported by other members). The OWNER probably flagged it, so don't go accusing us of censorship for christs sake. 9) We pride ourselves on being a dynamic site. That means, we try, and WILL make changes ALL THE GOD DAMNED TIME. That might be new features, new policies, new wording, whatever. Other sites and companies don't do this because they're too bureaucratic or they're AFRAID of pissing someone off or seeing their numbers drop-- not us. Love it or hate it, that's the way it is, so get used to it. Find a new place to 'chill if you don't like it. 10) I wish i could hump the leg of every person on the site who's given us constructive feedback (both good and bad, male and female!) and who support us everyday, even with the asshats hating on us for trying to make the site better. Seriously, I want to hump your damn leg! Keep the pimp hand strong, my friends! -mike
