UPDATE

Its been a rough few months since I was last here. My balance has been poor at best. I took one particular fall that caused me in the end months of extreme pain and numerous trips to the dentist to fix the damage. All the while Im trying to stay working and keep up with the house and my kids. Boy its been tough. My cataracts are getting worse and now I have constant black "floaties" everywhere I look. I am having difficulty driving at night. They wont be able to fix the cataracts until they have made me almost blind. They are not the kind that cloud the surface of the eye, those are from aging. The ones I have are at the back of the eye and are brought on my some unknown immune system disorder. The fibromyalgia has added its share of challenges and the chronic pain has been at times almost unbearable. I bought a laptop to make it easier for me to get online especially when I am having a tough day. :-) Finally, I think we have things under control again and I am getting caught up on all that I fell behind on. there is still much to do before I am actually caught up but its improving. Through it all I have been trying to stay positive and I think its working *wink* I keep trying to date but that just doesnt seem to work for me with all the issues I am having. No matter, I keep putting myself out there and figure one day I will know when I have found the right guy...until then, lifes a party!! *grin*

This sucks!

Well it has been probably 5 or 6 weeks since I was last here. I have been having the worst trouble with illness, pain and other issues. My vertigo has been really bad particularly. I seen my specialist a few months ago and he did a "Nerve Block" injection in my neck in two places. Afterwards my vertigo got very intense and has stayed that way since. Every day I am fighting to stay upright. I couldnt get back in to see my doc because he was on holidays for a month. At least now I am back in to see him next week and am hoping we can figure out how to better control the bouts of spinning and the pain that is debilitating me these days. Living with Vertigo is definitely a challenge in itself but having to deal with it every day all day it gets a bit much. Add in the constant pain and tiredness; its a wonder I am still sane what with all the frustration I have recently been experiencing. My pain levels have been at an all time high. My pain medications no longer seem to be controlling the pain as well. I suspect it is time to up my dosage. :-( Would rather not take any of the numerous pills at all if I could help it. My pill case is too small for my daily doses so I have two. No wonder my friends are calling me "Pharmie" ..LOL I have also been having numerous bouts of extremely large hives. The meds to get it back under control have been giving me serious insomnia. I have not slept more than 2.5 to 4 hours in over 3 weeks. Now that I am off the meds finally I am hoping that I will finally get some much needed rest. I left work early on Friday because I had turned into a short-tempered, non-tolerant person which is not how I usually am. It did not help that some of the staff were making stupid mistakes and not paying attention to detail. Lack of sleep can certainly play a number on ones ablity to function. Period> On top of it all my cataracts are really affecting my vision particularly at night. Everything is blurry and lights have "halo's" and "streaking". I have taken to wearing a light pair of sunglasses when I drive at night. If I want to read, I must do it earlier in the day or forget it. I think it is time for a road trip. :-)
