Greetings and Salutations yet again my fellow FuBarbarians. It is I the NorseViking back for more ponderings on our political landscape as it were. One thing I know I would like to see happen immediately is that Id like to see banks give intensives beyond the high yield of 8% interest to get more of us to consider savings accounts. Furthermore, I think that credit companies need to quit being so greedy and lower there interest rates so that more people will actually make payments and actually sign up for credit. I know many people will say what about all the credit risks out there...You mean all the people who are made credit risks because of greedy credit and loans... One issue I would really like to see happen is Fast food place and all restraints to be mandated to star recycling and compost operations. If all the fast food places been doing composting instead of throwing away food refuse in just the last 20 years...We would not be having hunger issues in our world today. Now on to the two biggest hot bead issues in my opinion. I think that our Foreign Policy needs to become more like how we treat all our friends. Peace talks should never end after an agreement is made. Talking about having dialogues until peace is made is a horrible policy...Talks should never end...In Fact It should not stop at mending bridges and making enemies our Allies. It should be a good neighbor policy to continue talks wit our allies and even countries we do not deal with . Our president should be talking to every leader he or she can as often as they possibly can. Our military needs to come home and become our Defense not our attack force. We are not the police of the world. We need to start policing our selves, rather the occupying bases throwout the world, we need to start actually helping nations rather than further extend beyond MANIFEST DESTINY. Well I said My Peace. What Say YOU? What would you do if you were President?

Greetings and Salutations My dear FuBarbarians! Welcome to my first blog of many more to come. I get asked all the time "Who should be our next president?' I say Really I do not care so much anymore and here is why? I can not stand either candidate, and neither of them impress me. In fact the scare the living piss out of me for the most part. Between Old McCain's anger management problems and closet liberal agenda, and Obama's ties to a racist church and his own dubious religious leanings,lack of patriotism, and lack of experience...I swear I wish I had some "VIABLE" third option. Alas since there is none..I'd rather ponder for a bit what I could do if I was at the helm of this sinking ship. First I would do away with the archaic and sad convention known as the Electoral College and reinstate the convention of one man=one vote. A more fair and balanced system and also a system that would likely get more people to vote and give third party candidates a fighting chance. Secondly, I would Like to make all media subscribe the the equal time law or have the FCC yank their license for failing to do so. Money should not be a the determining factor of who gets elected and who does not.. And also there are far more people running for president that deserve the right to be heard and debate with the two people currently at war for the presidency than are currently allowed too. Thirdly, I would legalize marijuana but I would legislate it heavily, but not punishingly. I know man y of the pseudo-moralists out there would be all up in arms over this. However, the 7 billion dollars in savings a year alone for not incarcerating pot users, growers and dealers would be a boon to our fragile economy. Furthermore it is a bumper crop and has saved our nation in the past many times. Forth, I would like to see Gambling become legal in all 50 states whether it is run by native Americans or otherwise. The reason being is like the lottery or bingo, proceeds go to other things besides the house or the winner, so why not use it instead of taxes to take care of all of our infrastructural needs, like roads, transportation, education and so on and so forth. Fifth, Why not legalize prostitution as well. No more fear of diseases and proceeds being used to fuel our economy...now that is what I call stimulus. now I know many of you would be upset using the straw man and slippery slope arguments about "kids getting high, or high drivers or wives who hook for money and kicks...etc...Sorry but A person who is moral when there is law, but breaks them when there is not...is not moral. Sixth, I would tax the rich and well off and cut them from using tax shelters, but legislate them so they could not take it out on the working class. Who needs 6 mansions anyways??? That is all I can think of for now...I will give you guys a gander at part two later.Thank you all for reading.
