Fifty years ago God showed me His awesome power and love.One night in July 1966 my parents, brother, wife and two little baby girls were watching one of God's light shows in the form of a meteor shower Dad and I set out ten bank poles. The last one dad had to climb down to a ledge to set it. There was a riffle there and we are on the deep side. We go beck to our camp to watch God's show. Moon hadn't risen and there were no clouds. About midnight we go to check our poles. I'm holding the flashlight for dad. We get to the last one. I'm crouched down behind dad holding the flashlight in my left hand. I'm right handed so normally I would hold it in my right hand. Dad gets on the ledge and before he can crouch down to check the pole he hollers. The ledge had washed out from under his feet, so he's in free fall. I grab and get a hold of his belt and pull him up and back to a setting position on the bank in front of me. He weighed about 220 lbs. and I weighed 160. I don't think any of this would have been possible without God's help. Thank you God!
