I'm 55, 6'0" 190 lbs, baldish, beard, a bit of a geek.... I have a B.A. and an "all-but-thesis" of a masters in geology. I've edited 12 books over the years.

But what am I like? You might guess I'm kind of intellectual, but what is important to me in the world is kindness and caring. I'm here to meet friends and hopefully find someone for a LTR.

I live in an old house about 6 miles NW of Wooster, OH. I have two housemates and we have two dogs who we love a lot. A lot has changed in my life lately. My Dad, who was basically my last living relative, passed away May 3rd. Since then, I ended up booting out two people who I had rescued from a homeless shelter who stole a lot for me and had bad addiction issues. Nonetheless, I am open, honest, and I will bend over backwards in a relationship for the lady. Affection is very important to me in relationships, but the main thing I guess I am looking for is someone who might actually love me and let me love her.

I have never been married, no kids, but like them, especially older ones. I've been engaged twice, it just wasn't fated to happen at that time. I've been doing internet dating since 2005 and really, really want to get off of these sites.... so where are you?
